And visiting the wounded at Walter Reed , from wars no one can explain why were there
Other heights from his press conference this morning:
1. He said Lindsey needs to start doing something with his judiciary committee instead of focusing on overseas endless military
2. ABC is fake news again, running a phony Syria bombing video
3. IS shouldnt be fighting a war 7k miles away to safeguard Syrias border, on behalf of Syria and their ally Russia
He was so strong, so confident. Ive never seen anothe GOPer take apart a media propagandist the way Trump decapitated that ABC fake newsman
You are posting a news heavy forum as if you don’t know that Trump has brought home zero soldiers from NE Syria and in fact is sending thousands more to Saudi Arabia.
OUR MILITARY SHOULD NOT FIGHT OTHER PEOPLES RELIGIOUS WARS! On our Soil it is a different matter. Destroy Jihadist and ISIS.
I cant deny I opposed Romney and McCain. Yes, I was happy when they lost. Youre correct
Yeah, so let’s keep feeding Americans into the meat grinder so their families can feel not so bad???Meat grinder huh?
We should be in a war or out. So many of our guys killed and maimed for someone elses war. After 9-11 we were supposed to be fighting bin laden. We didnt attack the countries that trained our enemies. We bombarded mountains in Afghanistan until bush decided to finish his daddys war destabilizing Iraq and the whole region. It took commie Obama to finally get bin laden.(albeit with information dug up by Bushs spooks).
Vizzini in the Princess Bride - “never get involved in a land war in Asia”
Inconceivable!
Well then, I stand corrected.
Obama and Clinton have no feeling but turning it into a plus for them.
Nonsense? I quoted your words in your #7.You need to quote yourself because you can't even follow your own thought accurately from one post to the very next...
Here your post again, Nice way to crap on the ultimate sacrifices our fallen military members have made and make their families feel like shit. Now, please point to one military family who Trump has made to feel like shit?
Point to one military family who wants more dead service members to help assuage their loss.Your befuddled post #27 where you can't even follow your own line of thought:
Now, please point to one military family who Trump has made to feel like shit? Now you show me one family that is happy to hear the president crap on the sacrifice of a family member as senseless. Because that makes good common sense to you, in Kook Land
How do you like Trump sending thousands of US Military members to the conflict hotspot of Saudi Arabia?
I dont like it
That comment makes you look like a real a**hole. Implying that other families want to see more continue to die because they lost someone.
Guess that’s why it seems you don’t mention about it on the forum.
But you keep the support up for Trump.
He is more my president than yours.
Implying that other families want to see more continue to die because they lost someone.Only an ahole would come up with that.
Oh, so we should keep sending our troops into one trap after another, because the families of the killed would be upset?
We honor the troops, living and dead by NOT putting them in harms way without good reason. Havent we learned that lesson yet?
Oh, so we should keep sending our troops into one trap after another, because the families of the killed would be upset? No. How about what I actually posted... not crap on the memory (as in past tense) of military personnel who paid the ultimate sacrifice. While continuing to safeguard our country and our interests. We honor the troops, living and dead by NOT putting them in harms way without good reason. Haven’t we learned that lesson yet?
When I lived in DC about 6 years ago, at the suggestion of a coworker up there, I took Memorial day and hiked over to Arlington to visit Section 60. It’s twisted curiosity, I felt weird doing it, but seeing the whole place in context, in its entirety that day raised my awareness of our foreign policy.
During my whole life, I had been to Arlington maybe three or four times, Tomb of the Unknown and all that stuff.
But I have never been taken back so like what I saw in Section 60. First it’s really more crowded but not with tourists. Entire families were picnicking at headstones, literally with a blanket and sandwiches and stuff. People were napping. What were personal items of value, were left at other grave sites. And hardly a word heard spoken anywhere.
While you might have a strong stance either way, even if your mind is made up and won’t change, the experience definitely makes you reassess our purpose overseas.
He’s simply remarking that they are putting up a brave face and carrying themselves with dignity. He is not belittling them or their loss, or the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform.
Everyone who has been through something like that knows that there are moments when you are ‘dealing well’ and other very particular moments when you entirely break down.
To many politicians, generals and admirals think you can fight a limited war, control your involvement and actually win. It happens rarely, maybe Desert Storm being the only one I can think of since WWII.
If it is not in US national security and you are not prepared to do what you have to do to win don’t do it. LBJ knew he couldn’t win a land war in Asia in a conventional fight based on sheer numbers alone without nukes but listened to the we can fight a limited war crowd and we all know the results.
The only way to stop the islamic nazi’s is to go to total war mode. Destroying whole cities and regions, men, women and children. You hurt them so bad they decide hey I don’t want to mess with them, they will kick my ass and split my skull and my wife and kids as well. It’s dirty and brutal but war as Sherman said is hell and despite the limited warfare proponents fantasy’s you cannot refine it and win.
What a wonderful President!
Sometimes he gets under my skin but not today. Not with these answers. He was on point, on subject and well spoken. He made his points and did not blunt them.
