“We’ve been messaging very heavily to the shipping companies, you don’t want to do this, it’s not worth it,” said one official, who spoke to Reuters on condition of anonymity. “It’s incredibly dangerous and irresponsible behavior.”

That’s the problem. The oil slick would pretty much be a give away.

“Tell me again why we trade with the chicoms?”

Because we didn’t stop the unions from driving out our own manufacturing

.……...just send the USS Fitzgerald over there in the dark to check it out. With the Fitz’s woman driver, and no transponder, no problem, scratch tanker.

This should be added to Trump’s “trade” negotiations, and keep them unfinished until this issue is satisfied.

How about turning away 10 random Chinese container ships from U.S. ports for every one that hides its transponder?

***********

How about cutting off access to all US ports for all Chinese shipping until this crap stops?

How about turning away having mysteriously disappear...10 random Chinese container ships from U.S. ports for every one that hides its transponder.

And thus, putting Amazon and WalMart out of business, adding 100 bazillion people to the unemployment figures.

What? How is a few missed shipments from china to and from Iran going to put Amazon and Walmart our of business and add 100 bazillion people to USA unemployment figures?

a few missing shipments is an insurance claim for Walmart and Amazon, little more than a broken window in a house for you and me.

“a few missing shipments”
I was referring to your mention of eliminating “all trade with China”, not a few oil shipments.

Gotcha. I don't agree with a complete embargo for China. We are too dependent on them. I was only referring to HOW America would have to go about stopping all trade with China.
