I have a few thoughts and questions, LTC.
The creation of the program is relatively simple. Here’s an open source solution that can be adapted to your purpose, I think.

The hard part is figuring out a way to index the content and getting a few people to populate the gallery of videos.
So much of what people care to see/hear is transient. This week it’s Biden/Hunter. Next week it will be something else.
Trump’s twitter feed is an excellent source of videos. And rather than point to a Twitter feed, very often the video has been converted to YouTube where it can be easily linked to, for example.
So these are my thoughts.
Grandma’s number was 927J2. If three rings, it was for her. Other than that, it was for someone else on the party line.

You stated you had two HS classmates who were KIA in Vietnam. I asked for their names as there is a virtual wall website where nice comments can be posted about them. If these men were evacuating folks from Saigon or other places they deserve a comment from people. Especially those who served with them.
Feel free to contact me here via freepmail when you find some videos. Just give me the links and an overview and if it’s a few sentences someone said that’s part of a longer video, let me know what I’m watching for and maybe how far along in the video it is.
I have ability to edit videos too so I can pull out the pertinent section and add it to a section of another video so that the first thing they said and the second, conflicting thing they said, can be put together in one video. We should make sure to note when and where they said these things so that people can fact check it.

When I have a little more time, I’ll get in touch with everyone from a few different threads here on FR and also make a post of my own to get the website up and running. It’s already complete but lacks real content. I stuck a bunch of filler content on there to work on the layout. Meanwhile, the twitter and facebook accounts associated with the website are pretty much ready to go. I also have an account on reddit.com and can spread things there.
The website was to be similar to newsbusters.org with articles calling out media bias. There was the possibility of also having a satire section as we have a freeper who is pretty good at it. I had also thought a meme section would be good. I already put that together and it is filterable, searchable and people can bookmark memes to add to their collection. Young people are all about memes and half of facebook posts are memes so I think it’s worthwhile.
Oh, and for the website, I had come up with the name “conflicted” for the menu item for this idea of showing how politicians flip flop. “In their own words” was my first though but it takes up too much room for a website menu item. FlipFlop is another possibility. Of course the website won’t get near as much exposure as the social networking accounts associated with it.
So send me what you find and I’ll make sure it gets posted on twitter, facebook and reddit and I’ll also add it to the website for when it gets opened up to the public.
As much as I hate to admit it, I don’t remember the names of the two KIA from the Class of ‘72. They did not graduate with us, but joined and left before graduation. A guy from the Class of ‘71 was involved in the airlift, and is still alive. I tried to find my yearbook online because there was a tribute to them on the final page of the yearbook, but the ‘72 yearbook is missing. I will keep looking and get you that information.
You can also lookup Vietnam war dead by State, City. The list for each state is long. You click on the State and you will see names in alphabetical order and the city is on far right. I only recall one man from the Hampton, VA area who was my age. He was KIA T Day 65. We lost many USSF plus Montagnards. Only one Montagnard from my old company made it to NC. The Viets treated them like scum and still do.
