Seems appropriate now that McCain is buried there.
I think someone is taking nonsense way too seriously, and giving far too much attention to it.
A really smart man once said, ‘What is that to thee?’
Poor lost soul, in the hands of the devil.
Maybe many of us Christians here on FR can start praying for this man, ask the Lord to save and deliver him. I will start tonight including him in my prayers.
Anton LaVey’s texts quoted and cited an author who’s lately been described as “white supremacist” (as in, a recent shooting incident was labeled white supremacist because he cited the same author).
Satanism is just a contrived thing, and I’m not even sure it rises to a level greater than paganism in Biblical condemnation. Far worse is the cult of Moloch, which in Biblical terms is an unpardonable offense, punishable by death, even of those who know of it but do nothing to stop it.
Go Army! Beat the hell out of Navy!
If the Chief were promoting Christianity hed be facing disciplinary action, and perhaps he will be. I hope so.
The Devil’s greatest trick is to pretend he does not exist.
Human minds have equally powerful ‘tricks’.
We can create ourselves or destroy ourselves, simply by what we choose to allow ourselves to *believe*.
Do you really believe that any of them would take something like this seriously?
“Go Army! Beat .... Navy!”
Might but I kinda doubt it. In the meantime, FLY NAVY! Naturally including a Marine aviator or two to provide a bit of class to the ruckus.
The Bible speaks of only two unpardonable (unforgivable) sins.
1. Blaspheming against he Holy Spirit, that is, attributing the power and work of the Holy Spirit to a demon. See Mark 3:28-30 and Matthew 12:31-32).
2. Adding to or taking away words from the book of the prophesy we call the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Any who do this will have no part in the true of life, that is, the eternal abode of believers, the heavenly city of new Jerusalem. See Revelation 22:18-19, 21:10.
3. Worshipping the beast and taking his mark. See Revelation 14:9-10.
One can argue that such a person is so darkened that only then would some one commits such acts. That is a rationalization. The blasphemy (speech) of (1) is called an unforgivable sin. (2) and (3) are acts with eternal consequences. All other blasphemies and acts are forgivable. This would include idolatry and murdering the innocent.
It has been public knowledge that, since 2007 and before, the military chaplain manuals have been including all faiths expressed within America, and have call outs for each, by sectioon, to include “statements of beliefs”, “accepted sanctuary set-ups”, and “recognizable rituals”. For instance, Wicca has been part of the USAR chaplains manual since 1976!
I see no reason to gripe, in this day of an all volunteer military. They are Americans, and as GIs, would do their duty to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States,, which includes the right for ALL of us, and them, too, of freedom of religion.
My late brother Ted was a CH-53 pilot. My love for the Marines knows no bounds. Semper Fi. He was the only officer in the club singing the Army fight song and doing pushups when we scored.
Do what thou wilst is the central tenet of the Church of Satan.
As such, does this chief lie?
Answer: whatever it takes.
