A Starbucks barista in England was caught on video trying to boot a homeless man as he chowed down on a meal purchased by a kind-hearted bystander outside the coffee chain.
The footage, obtained by The Sun, shows the unidentified drifter, dressed in an open shirt, sitting outside a Starbucks in Southend, Essex, after a Good Samaritan spent $10 to buy him food after seeing the man savaging nearby.
Yeah, he can eat somewhere else, a barista told the man and Sajid Kahhllon, who paid for the sandwich and chocolate cake moments earlier.
But he bought the food, he paid for that I paid for that, Kahhllon continued.
Yeah, but he cant stay here, the male barista shot back.
No, but if food is being paid and hes eating it what is the problem then? Kahhllon asked. He paid [for] the food, the food is being bought is he not a human?
Kahhllon demanded that the man be allowed to stay and finish his lunch, as did other nearby customers, the video shows. But the barista held firm on his request for the man to leave, claiming that he would undoubtedly return if allowed to stay put.
Critics of the encounter later blasted the coffee giant online, with some calling for a boycott, according to The Sun.

Good thing to do. Gypsies are professional piock pockets.
He was sitting outside, eating food purchased at Starbucks. They should have left him alone.
Not very woke of you assuming gender. Lots of women have full beards and I have yet to be convinced a single boobless hairy faced coffee server with a nose ring at starbucks is actually male.
Denver boot like when you have unpaid tickets?
Global policy or just in Estados Stupidos?
I will report to re-education camp! Don’t report me please. Maybe if I turn myself in, they’ll go easy on me.
The guy is sitting outdoors. Why would a barista get involved in it at all? Was he the manager?
a barista is female. The person in the video is a baristo.
And now baristo may need a barrister.
Really IDK the law but I couldn’t resist the wordplay.
Thats was pretty creative, I gotta admit.
Globo
any person who enters our spaces, including patios, cafes and restrooms, regardless of whether they make a purchase, is considered a customer.
the starbucks guy is not ejecting the homeless guy... he bought him lunch... the cops are trying to get rid of him.
I get it. He didn’t buy the food; someone else did. But he wanted to eat it in the restaurant. Like I say, if he was disgusting and a deterrent to other customers, I’d either boot him or get him out of the public eye.
Obviously? I'm not sure about that. And it's pretty clear he WAS bothering the server.
Why do you have a problem with that?
I have a problem with the Gestapo telling me who I can and cannot serve in my own establishment. That's MY decision, not the government's, not the police's, not some bystander's, and not the patron's. My house, my rules. Do you have a problem with that?
Article says he was eating outside.
Frankly, I think the server made too big a deal of it. He apparently was NOT bothering any of the existing customers (though how many he scared off is anyone's guess).
But the point is, the owners of the establishment, and their agents, should be free to deny service -- including a place to eat as well as the food itself -- to anyone based on nothing more than whim.
If the establishment gets a reputation for being a rude, assholish place, then presumably its business will suffer. Similarly if it gets a rep for being a haven for scuzbuckets.
Being a franchise, I'm not sure the agents and owners have as much freedom, depending on the corporate policy.
Where exactly in the video does it show that? It doesn't so stop with your lying...........
Well, unless they do things differently in Britain, hes probably out of a job at Starbucks. Because didnt they have some huge employee retraining over incidents like this about nine months ago?
Basically, the homeless can/could pretty much day camp there and sip water as long they didnt bother anyone.
I imagine theres more to the story that underlies the baristas reason for wanting the guy out, but this story paints him as the undisputed bad-guy.
Clearly gypsies are not among Frances protected groups.
Clearly gypsies are not among Frances protected groups.
Uh ... if he wasn’t bothering him, why did the server insist he leave? Use your head.
