I used to work with the law enforcement relations department of a major cell phone service provider. I used to tell people, jokingly, that if you are going to abduct a child, leave your phone at home.

Aliff drove more than 1,000 miles and picked the girl up at about 2 a.m. Sept. 7 and the two drove back to Greenville, according to court filings.How the heck does a girl under 12 get picked up at 2 am by a stranger? Where are her parent(s)??? Oh, dad took away her cell phone. Yeah, that's helpful.
