You can still get all of that - flying First or Business Class on an Asian airline. :)

Nothing has changed

The airlines are just figuring out how to make money on a captive audience

Consider this , you take an $125 flight from Dallas to Denver and pay $15 dollars to connect to WiFi on flight

Where is the airline making its money?

Long enough to go pee and wash my hands. All the airlines had to do was ask.

Nothing terrifies me more than seeing a 500 lb blob waddling down the aisle and I’ve got an empty seat on either side of me.

You could also meet people at the gate and carrying a firearm was no big deal.

I fly all the time and have never personally had a problem with TSA.

I’ve only been pulled out for a random once and they were very professional.

It’s like any other occupation; the malcontents and incompetents get all the press.

There goes the old Mile High Club.

With lots of “I’ll never fly again” sentiment here, might as put a plug in for GA.

Obviously, doesn’t help everybody... but perhaps a few might be interested:

Getting your pilot’s license takes about 30 hours with an instructor, and 30 hours “solo”. Do it over a 6-month period.
Yes, it will cost you a few bucks. But, in exchange, you’ll have another option to TSA and airlines.

A new pilot will typically rent or share in a plane (I recommend the latter); a new pilot can easily travel within, say, a 500 mile radius. (You’ll need more experience and an instrument rating to go much further).

Hopefully, they can first figure out how to give me a bit more leg room, and prevent wide-body, overweight people from taking half my seat, I will be ok.

Don't need them to analyze my pooping patterns.

Seats will have removable upholstery that will be replaced each flight. They will be kept as scent samples for dogs.

The same phone I wasn't allowed to use in now my media device on some planes that took out the screens from the seats.

Look at the graph on this page—obesity is taking off faster than airplanes!

https://www.stateofobesity.org/adult-obesity/

Meanwhile the plane seats are smaller....

Airlines will make it the inflight movie, of course, you could buy the video from the stewardess or pick a copy up at the gift shop when you disembark.

Come on, man!

Something like that ought to be pay per view.

This is going to be more entertaining than a WWE wrestling match. You might not even be able to tell the difference.

“I don’t blame anyone for bringing lunch.”

On my last — and I do mean LAST — flight I sat next to a woman who loves Muslims and is “better trying to understand them”. (she got an earful from me, but that’s another story for another day.)

Anyhow, she pulled out her lunch which was in three separate baggies. Brown slime. Green slime. Other slime. Gag-inducing smell. She ate it with her fingers. It made me sick to my stomach and I almost tossed my cookies.
