We don’t have to wait until 2038 for some of this. Probably close to 70% of farmers already have a college degree if they are under the age of 50 or employ an accountant that has one. At least that was my experience years ago. They just have a degree in agricultural or animal Science rather than wymyn’s studies or journalism.

The idea that farmers are uneducated hicks is a slanderous stereotype perpetrated by ignorant self-styled intellectual wannabes to make themselves feel better.

“The idea that farmers are uneducated hicks is a slanderous stereotype perpetrated by ignorant self-styled intellectual wannabes to make themselves feel better.”

We grow food and raise livestock for ourselves, but rent out acreage to the dairy farmer over the hill. He raises corn, soybeans, various feed grasses (hay) and alfalfa.

We COULD get a lot more per acre for our tillable land, but we do it to keep him in business. And, we wouldn’t rent to anyone that was a slacker doofus and wasn’t educated about the land and how to maintain it properly.

So, I agree 100%.
