Months after Burger King started serving a plant-based version of its signature Whopper, McDonalds announced Thursday that it is rolling out its own veggie burger.
The P.L.T. thats an acronym of its ingredients, natch: Plant. Lettuce. Tomato will be available for 12 weeks starting Monday at 28 locations in southwestern Ontario, according a statement. The burger in question is from Beyond Meat, a company whose meat-substitute patties are already being served Carls Jr. locations around the United States.

Interesting.
I don't know how these taste, but I understand they are a pretty good imitation, so this is interesting.
Coming soon in America, and elsewhere.

I’ll keep that in mind.
Even with the razor thin slice of beef, its a virtual veggie burger just the way it is
We will see.
They are supposed to be quite believable, from what I have read anyway.
The company is very private about their equity, so apparently someone there, agrees.
We’ll see.
IMHO....Just plain stupid.
Tried the Burger King version last night and both my wife and I found the Impossible Whopper actually quite good. Thankfully we got them for free as it was a TMobile Tuesday freebie promotion. They arent cheap.
The Impossible burger at Burger King is awesome. At least I think so — but I haven’t had a real hamburger in over 20 years, so my memory of what meat tastes like could be off.
Soilent green my friends yesterdays science fiction is todays truth
Why do vegans, who despise meat, want to make everything taste like meat? They’re demented.

The calories, fat and protein are fairly comparable between the regular meat burger and the fake one. The problem is the carbs and sodium are much higher in the fake one.
Carbs - 49 vs. 58.
Sodium - 980 milligrams vs. 1240 which is half your daily amount
No, thanks. I’ll stick to the real meat in my homemade Big Mac salad at 5 carbs.
How about they test a beyond the middle finger from me?
Tried the BK veggie burger. Not bad, but not as good as meat. Meat tastes good because meat is the most efficient way of getting protein into us.
Humans have hunted and raised animals for food. It’s the order of nature. Nothing wrong with eating meat.
Be careful of what “you’ve read”... Very careful.
Good news! I look for Burger King because they have veggie burgers. I haven’t eaten beef, pork, poultry in many years—lamb, veal (almost) never.
