PRESIDENT TRUMP: Well, thank you very much. Were pleased to be with President Moon of South Korea. We have a long-term friendship, and we are making a lot of progress. We are working on tremendous trade deals. We as you know, weve completed a trade deal, and thats working out very well for both countries. That deal is completed now, and its been in existence for solidly in existence for six months. And its been very good.
And we intend to do some additional things on trade. Of course, well be talking about North Korea. Well be talking the purchase of equipment. South Korea is one of our largest purchasers of military equipment. And were working together very well.
PRESIDENT MOON: (As interpreted.) Mr. President, its a great pleasure to meet you again three months after our last meeting. Your visit to Panmunjom will go down as a historic moment that embodied peace through action. And I have to say that I always marvel at your imagination and bold decision-making.
Thanks to your leadership, we have been able to achieve great progress in terms of inter-Korean relations. And this has also led to a dialogue between the United States and North Korea. And soon, I will be expecting the working-level negotiations between the United States and North Korea to prepare for the third your third summit with Chairman Kim to resume to be resumed soon.

PRESIDENT TRUMP: Well, well take a look at it. Were going to talk about it. But I didnt really discuss that with Kim Jong Un. That was never a part of our discussion. We did discuss nuclear testing and other things. And, frankly, hes lived up to his word on those things that we discussed. And we actually signed an agreement in Singapore. We actually had two very good meetings.
You would have been at war right now with North Korea if I werent President.

If buttigieg was meeting with him, it might have ended up being the man on the Moon :)
Tungil! (reunification)
What’s Tungil?
Do you really believe reunification is possible?
I NEVER thought German reunification was possible.
But with Great Presidents come Great Things.
When I was stationed there (1978-79 and 1981-82) we “joked” that we were there to keep the ROKs (”South Korea”) from going North.
You were there TWICE?
What were they both like then?
Any different than now?
Very different from now. They are a wealthy nation now and technologically ahead of us in certain ways. I watch travel videos on YouTube where the hosts go to Korea mainly for food. It has completely changed.
Wow. I didn’t know that.
Can’t believe they’re technologically ahead of us in some ways. Yeah I guess theyre a pretty developed country now.
Must be some good food.
I still eat it every chance I get. Try Bulgogi.
Lunch Special: Bulgogi over rice. $12
:)
Looks like I’ll be going over the bridge to Bay Ridge, Brooklyn this weekend.
Gotta try it now.
Can’t find ONE PLACE on Staten Island.
Someone should open one.
Thanks for the tip.
