I thought the satellites showed that the ice caps and glaciers were all melting? Or do satellites “speak with forked digital images?” (since they don’t have tongues.)

Who you going to believe? The scientists taking actual data ... or the teenage expert at the UN?

The thing is, the next ice age is the climate event these moron so-called scientists ought to be worried about. Will our civilization be able to survive most of Europe and North America being uninhabitable? Hopefully, the answer is at least 1,000 years away, but then maybe not.
Would that we really could control Earth's temps.

My son used to be on the flight operations team of a solar observation satellite. as of about a year ago, some of their data was pointing toward a solar minimum, yep, a prolonged period of cooler weather

In 1970, Time magazine stated that within 15 years urban dwellers would need gas masks thanks to the air pollution. 34 years of walking around looking like an idiot.

January 10, 1871: Pall Mall Gazette Imaginary Change of Climate
a plentiful crop of speculation from weather prophets and projectors, and half-
instructed meteorologists
We have often noticed
every season is sure to be
extraordinary, almost every month one of the driest or wettest, or windiest, coldest
or hottest ever known. Much observation, which ought to correct a tendency to
exaggerate, seems in some minds to have rather a tendency to increase it.

I wonder if they were cooking their data back in 1974.

Yes, I remember my science teacher telling us constantly we were entering a mini ice age. I must have missed it it was so mini.

This is dumb. I dont care what they said in 1974, either way. Thats like ancient history. This is perhaps one of the weaker rebuttal tools of AGW.

Funny thing is there will be another ice age. Ever scientist really does agree on that. No one knows when.
But that didn’t scare people, so they had to go with global warming and floods to get money.

I wonder how many people will post without actually looking at the article in detail. I already see at least two....

In Jan 74, I was president of my high schools ecology club in Florida. We didn’t protest, we went out and did water quality testing to actually sea if areas were polluted and if contaminated, we start working up the inlet, river, stream, pond lake or puddle until we found the source. We actually found a mobile home park hand knocked a hole in the wall of the community septic tank along the intercoastal instead of having it fixed. And yes, beware the coming ice age was our motto. Of course Florida had three times the land area in the last ice age. We didn’t organize campus clean ups, because he MCJROTC guys who hadn’t done their brass, polished their shoes, or ironed their uniforms properly kept the campus quite clean. ( no dry cleaning or Corfam) Sayeth 1st Sgt.
The point is, if you care about the planet, do something that actually makes a difference, even if it’s only a small thing. And we all used to hunt, that’s where we learned to respect nature and realize that too many feral hogs just tore it up. ( picture allegorical politician here).
