I checked into a couple and all are willing to wheel and deal but without the ammo as they can’t resell it. One guy will take it in a trade but with the ammo thrown in. By my estimation, the gun and ammo are worth collectively around $700 - 800 but the value they offered was for a new revolver worth around $300-350.
I’m old enough to remember going to a hardware store and buying my first shotgun.

Im old enough to remember going to a hardware store and buying my first shotgun. As am I. I remember when you could go into a Sears sports department and buy rifles, shotguns, etc., and ammo. Kind of like some WallyMarks stores do today.
