The historic matchup between University of Georgia and Notre Dame was a major win for CBS Sports.
The Sept. 21 game featuring the No. 3 Bulldogs and No. 10 Fighting Irish was the highest-rated college football game on any network so far this season and the most watched game in September in six years, according to CBS Corp. (NYSE: CBS). The game earned an average household metered market rating/share of 6.2/13, CBS said.

Who won?
I watched it for the first half, got sleepy and went to sleep.
Two TVs on, one for that game and the other for Oklahoma State and Texas. Had the sound on for Georgia, kept getting confused. Checked the scores when I got up the next morning. Neither one unexpected.
I watched the first half. The second half watched me. Georgia won by 6.
I keep telling Notre Dumb to avoid the SEC but I suppose that they are simply TOO dumb to understand! ROFL
Ever since that lowlife Fr. Jenkins invited the abortion loving Obama to give the commencement address and conferred a Notre Dame honorary degree on the vile, blood stained liar, Notre Dame has been cursed. It cannot win the big game.
I’m so happy that Notre Dame is good enough to hate again.
Nail biter Georgia won
Didn't you read the article? CBS won!
Georgia 23 Notre Dame 17
And the result was sooooo nice!
The rare time I rooted for UGA.
I call them “Buttigieg U.”
I noticed that ND coach really likes words that start ‘F’.
DFWgator, thanks for your support of the SEC over the Golden Dome crowd. May Florida win most of their remaining games. UGA fan says hi.
“Who won?”
That’s a good Q; I know the article is re: TV ratings and such; but how hard would it have been to have given the score? If it’s a crummy game, doesn’t that influence the ratings? If it’s a legendary close game, doesn’t that likewise come to bear?
Burying the lead is nothing new (and it's not limited to the sports page), but it is steadily getting worse. On the sports page at least, could we not have a rule that calls for the summary execution of any writer who does not report the outcome of a game in the first paragraph? Surely that's not too much to ask.
Yeah, but I didn’t think my DAWGS looked very good.
And, one DAWG with butterfingers just gifted Notre Dame seven.
Georgia won, 23-17. GO DAWGS!!!
They won by 1 in 2017, 6 this year, 6X better and any time you can beat a top 10 team, be satisfied.
