Sid Haig -- best known as Captain Spaulding in Rob Zombie's "House of 1000 Corpses" trilogy -- has died.

The horror icon's wife, Suzie, shared the news Monday on Sid's own social media account, writing ... "On Saturday, September 21, 2019, my light, my heart, my true love, my King, the other half of my soul, Sidney, passed from this realm on to the next."

I did not know that.
He also was in the very first scene of Bone Tomahawk. A VERY good, horrifying movie with Kurt Russell.

I loved that show as a kid. Sid Haig was perfect as Dragos. The late 1970s was a great time for childrens television.

During the production of Jason of Star Command, there was a salesmen in the office demanding to meet the boss, and would not take no for a answer. Sid Haig walked out in his full Dragos costume. The salesman asked "who is that?" The secretary answered "the producer". The salesman was never heard from again.
