I got to meet Sig at Spooky Empire about 6 years ago — the same year I met Ricou Browning (the water Creature from Creature from the Black Lagoon) and a few other really cool horror folk.
Sid was a delightful man, wonderful with his fans, and a delight to talk too. Rest in peace, Cap’n Spaulding.

Sid Haig with one of his favorite co-stars, Pam Grier. RIP.
RIP you crazy M’fer..
The best clown of all time!
Never heard of him.
House of 1000 Corpses was one CRAZY movie..
Also met him at a convention. Very nice guy. His character in House of 1000 Corpses and Devils Rejects was a classic.
He told an interesting story. He complained to a member of the movie Academy, how come they can give Anthony Hopkins an Oscar for a horror movie, but they won’t consider other horror movie actors? The answer “Well we know Tony is just acting.” Sid said “Can you imagine that, they know he’s just acting! What do they think we are? “
Neither had I till Rob Zombie movies
He dominated them
Didn’t know till now there is a 3rd movie just out.
He had a long a varied career. 80. RIP.
LOL! What a great reply!
