That’s way above my paygrade, to analyze ‘the relationship’ of the U.S. President and the First Lady.

Yeah, can’t believe he took the job.
He had the perfect life before the presidency.
Just love of country I guess.

Everything I see indicates they have a great relationship, and I believe they have great love for one another. More power to them. They’ll never call Trump’s White House Camelot, but sure I’m it’s a lot more like that imaginary place, than JFK’s.

As long as it does not interfere in the job for which he was elected, I do not much care. I did not vote for Melania - or Ivanka, and neither one holds elected office.

If I really placed the Christian sanctity of Marriage as a prime requisite for electing a secular officer, then I would never have voted for Donald Trump.

He has fornicated, adulterated, and divorced multiple times. (Those are manifest facts; deal with them.) He is no paragon or morality, no matter how any of you try to portray him as otherwise.

I chose to vote for him the day he announced because he was a successful private-sector businessman, and not a parasitic public-sector lawyer - and because I was convinced that he had a genuine regard for this nation.

I certainly did not choose to vote for him because I thought he was a moral paragon, for I knew too much about him, going back to the 1980s, to ever think that.

As an ordained minister who has lived a chaste life - I spent two years at one church working closely with all marriage ceremonies - I do not take these things lightly, and I will not jump on the bandwagon like a Pavlovian Dog and praise his current marriage just to bolster support for him (and make myself vicariously feel good).

He is not a god, or a king. He is an elected official. That is all.

P.S.

To those who think he gave up so much, and has suffered so much:

Does he still have his properties, his freedom, and his power? Yes.

Does Paul Manafort have any of those things? No.

Try placing your sympathies with those who helped him to get elected - AND WHOSE LIVES WERE DAMAGED OR RUINED!

Thanks for the post.

That we have a partnership in the White House is something we can applaud. Just recently a ‘click bait’ site was telling of a brewing tension in that DC structure. How the two reacted toward the other. Nothing but lies and rumor. OMG, still reporting about the ‘hand slap’ given when the couple visited Israel and the Vatican.

Prayers that their marriage stays strong in spite of the efforts to tear them apart. Destroying them = destroying our nation.

MAGA

Both Melania Trump and Karen Pence looked nervous and ill at ease during some of the inauguration doings. Who can blame them? Both were used to being in the public eye, but there is nothing like being First or Second Lady of the whole nation; it is unique in our country. It did not take long, however, for them to feel at ease, despite the fact that they are maligned daily, in the most vicious ways, especially Melania. Brava, Ladies!

Melania is an amazing story in itself. From a communist country she ends up marrying a billionaire. She speaks seven languages and is perhaps the most beautiful first lady this country has ever had . Yet because she is married to someone the left hates so intensely she is never given the credit she deserves.
