The Princess Bride is a classic film, a national treasure that should be handed down through the ages, but according to Variety Sony is talking about a Princess Bride remake. My head nearly exploded when I heard this. Here is my rant.

hollywood will compensate for a lack of new ideas by destroying a classic...Hollywood has ideas. The problem is that their new ideas usually involve gross perversity and/or demonizing normal people so that no one wants to go see the movies promoting that crap.

"- it would be the Commadore 64 ... once a brilliant and well received product that languished for years while MBAs and bean counters sucked the consumer dry of every last penny they could. Only Hollywood gets to go on sucking year after year because it’s relatively rare for anyone to innovate (unlike with computers)."-I’ll add... a Commadore 64 “that says very nasty and insulting things to you while you are trying to use it.”
You guys have just come up with an new idea for a movie.
How easy was that?
Hollyweird must be so brain-fried from drugs and PC , that they are unable to create anything original.
But there is one bright spot.
I can't wait for the remake of "Sharknado".
In the new one, the sharks that fall out of the tornado can self identity as gold fish.
So instead of eating the people they land on, they'll just kind of flop around on the ground.
It's sure to be a smash hit.
(And would do better than a remake of The Princess Bride.)
