Speaking of Cagney, “One, Two, Three” is another that shouldn’t be remade.

Its a Wonderful LifeMade for TV remake (1977) called "It Happened One Christmas" starring Marlo Thomas and Wayne Rogers. Marlo Thomas was the main character. Saw it first before discovering the original and there's no going back.

If you consider The Princess Bride a classic, you know not of classic movies. JMHO!
Do you mean to say that you don't think the word means what they think it means?
Inconceivable!

“YES. I agree! Hard to get the Wayne - OHara chemistry with anyone else.”
That’s because there are so few conservative actors/actresses left.

One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest is responsible for every mass shooting since its release. Your observation has merit. I was thinking more of the casting and acting; but it's true; copycattism is a real problem.
I was so upset by the property destruction in "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World" in 1963 that it seemed to me it would open floodgates of violence porn in Hollywood, and I'm not far wrong. Felt the same about the apocalyptic visions of American cities being destroyed in "Independence Day" (1996) which foreshadowed 9/11 five years later.

Yeah, I should have mentioned It Happened One Night. Great script and beautifully acted.

Yeah. But not being a basketball fan. Or a college sports fan. It just didn’t play for me. I think I only watched because of Gene Hackman. Also cable, and bored.

Goodfellas? I can easily see Matt Dammon as Tommy. For that matter I can easily Madonna as Karen. No one could ever replace Ray Liotta in that role.

Matt Demon is 48; Madonna is 61 years old.

But there were 2 tv series. One from the 1950s with Charles McGraw as Rick and one from the 1980s with David Soul as Rick. These weren’t remakes per se but taking events before and after the movie if I’m not mistaken. Both were short lived of 10 and 5 episodes respectively.
