The police and teachers are public servants so I do not have a problem with fully vetting them. However, we must absolutely no longer allow and cannot allow private companies to do this. We are long overdue for a law preventing employers from searching or viewing their employees and prospective employees social media. This needs to be enforced with very steep fines for violations when discovered.
I'd agree if they apply the same standard to black candidates who listen to misogynistic rap music. But they won't.

I think I’m fairly tech-savvy, and I just don’t see a way to prove that Google, or Ford, or whoever did not hire joe blow because he posted on the KKK, or Antifa, or CPUSA, or 700 Club or whatever page.
I agree that it’s a Bad Thing, but unlike the legal records of a juvenile how can you show that a FB search or Twitter search was done?
