Excellent. A decent school.
Hey, give him credit for being a Vols fan anywhere.
Maybe even in Knoxville.
Maybe he’s a basketball fan. UT pays Rick Barnes, their basketball coach, more than they do the football coach and Tennessee is a dark horse possibility for having the national number one recruiting class on signing day this November.
Was it a social media bullying or was he physically abused?
Meanwhile my daughter with a 4.0 HS GPA and a 32 on the ACT still has a $11,000 tuition and fees per yer at UTK. She was upset that all he had to do was put U.T. on a piece of paper and pin it to an orange shirt.
CNN is concerned about bullying? Hmmmm.....
Smile!
Don’t move to E. Tenn. You’ll hate it here
No diversity, monochromatic
Lots of trees, mountains, hills, lakes and streams. No room for stores.
It’s really easy to buy a gun.
Prices for housing are too low.
Food is cheap.
Most of the people are patriotic. What’s worse, they’re honest.
There’s no income tax, so I don’t think the state will improve much.
Those TVA lakes are just miserable
Dolly Parton music is high art
The Smokies are just crawling with damn Yankees and tourists from Floriduh
Towns like Oak Ridge are just intellectual wastelands
color Orange is everywhere
Save yourself, stay away
I live here, and I’m an asshole.
Schoolkids pick on other schoolkids.
Big whoop.
Why is this major news?
And the little wuss certainly didn’t earn a scholarship.
His dad deserves a wedgie.
Excellent.
In my view, all the shows of empathy, compassion, charity and openness are being way WAY overdone. Good that this kid found some understanding, but enough’s enough. Don’t draw too much attention to the material things this boy lacked. Don’t encourage him to see the short term benefit of being a victim. “Poor, poor, pitiful me!”
All this being public knowledge is setting him up to make other kids jealous. It will be a “Teacher’s Pet” syndrome, unless someone says, let’s tap the brakes on this tsunami of supporting and boosting. Let’s go back to normal interactions.
