The Long Island judge allegedly busted breaking into a 23-year-old ex-intern and neighbor's home to steal her underwear admitted as much before his arraignment Friday, and confessed it wasn't the first time he's been in that house for "panties," according to a felony complaint.
Robert Cicale, a Republican district court judge from Suffolk County, told cops he was in the house on Donna Place in East Islip Thursday and left when he heard the young woman come home, the complaint says. The woman called her mother, who then called 911, and cops found Cicale a few blocks away.
"He was found to be in possession with soiled female undergarments that we believe were either proceeds of this burglary or a prior burglary," Suffolk County Acting Police Commissioner Stuart Cameron said after the arrest Thursday.
According to the complaint, Cicale admitted the "panties" he had on him when he was arrested were "from other times I went into the house."
If a DIM were prez, this criminal pervert would be on the supreme court .
I said liberals and statists. Republican RINOs are both of those.
Actually he’s just a pervert. Unfortunately they come in all political flavors. Though the majority do seem to lean left. Or perhaps that’s just my bias showing. 8>)
In NY, all trial judges are elected (Appellate Division judges are appointed from among the elected trial judges, and the Court of Appeals (NY’s supreme court) judges are appointed by the governor). District Court judges (such as this one) are elected to 6 year terms. Supreme Court (which is the general trial court in NY) judges are elected to 14 year terms.
a 14 year term? that is nuts. 2 or 4 years is long enough.
Dont forget the judge 13 years who masturbated and shaved his genitals while presiding.
NY’s party system is... odd. You can be nominated by multiple parties, and if so you appear on the ballot multiple times (and your vote total is counted among all parties). A couple of years ago, several Republican judicial nominees (a personal friend of mine included) were part of a bit of a minor party coup after there was shenanigans with the Conservative party agreeing to nominate some Democrats for their line... several Republicans managed to get themselves nominated by the Green party.
So while he may have been in the Green party primary and one of its nominees, he was a Republican.
District Court is the court he was on.
When was this ever not normal?
