Popeyes still has the best fried chicken in the game, so bring your own bun, order 3-piece tenders and voilà! You can make your own sandwich, the restaurant added.
...
Why doesn’t the restaurant do this for their customers?
One group heard it wrong as “Popeyes Wants You to BYOG (Bring Your Own Gun) Amidst Chicken Sandwich Shortage”

I really like Chick-fil-A.
Please do not have Popeye’s patrons ruin it.
Popeye’s is similar to Chuck E Cheese.
Good idea. If their sandwich tastes like their fried chicken—fried cardboard—then no thanks. Ate there once, never again. That is not food, it is almost inedible.
Having no buns for a sandwich could lead to violence in some locations.
Just go to Church’s Chicken and don’t forget to order some Jalapeno Poppers.
Wonder if they are going to do away with the brioche bun. It’s probably way more expensive than a regular bun. And a lot of us don’t care for brioche.
Waitress: You want me to hold the chicken, huh?
Dupea: I want you to hold it between your knees.
Are you sure PDJT isn’t behind all this?
Think of it...
Popeyes comes out with a ‘new’ sandwich which almost immediately is not available due to massive ordering.
Popeyes floods the market with ads pushing the new chicken sandwich and really can’t find ANYONE who actually had one.
NOW they say they have the chicken, no bread is the problem.
Kind of like the old ‘toilet paper’ shortage, mention a few times there will be a shortage of TP so the masses run out and buy TP by the case ..
VOLA! The projected TP shortage is now a reality..
Great marketing...
Don Draper lives!!
Or just make your own.
Opening themselves up to lawsuits. It wont be long before somebody brings in contaminants like bugs, rodent parts, dirt, and chemicals to blame on the restaurant.
How’s this for an idea?
Fire the idiots screwing up your logistics and hire someone competent.
A local Popeye’s is located beside an AT&T store, with the entrance to the shopping center in front of AT&T The line of cars waiting for a chicken sandwich ran along the side of Popeye’s, zigged in front of AT&T, ran out on the busy street (3 lanes of traffic each way), there were about 10 cars stopped dead in the street, waiting. I would say there was at least a 20 minute wait to get a sandwich, probably more.
I like Popeye’s a lot. However my thought was, these people must have very empty lives to be so obsessed with a fast food sandwich. I could just visualize them calling friends, “I got a Popeye’s chicken sandwich!!”. Probably posted the big news on Facebook too.
While I slip on their greasy floor. And while I can’t understand people that were born here. Ok.
That reminds me it’s about time for a Chick Fil A...
Hey today is yard sale day too....hmmmm....

Give me a knife and fork and I’ll rough it.
