Nancy Pelosi is frustrated and she has every right to be with the radicals in her caucus. Say what you will about Nancy, she is cagey and ruthless and quite good at her job. So she must be sitting back in horror as her colleagues in the House rush headlong over the cliff of impeachment. For sure, Pelosi can step in and stop it at some point but if momentum continues to build in the Dem party she will not be able to stop it without disenfranchising the base.

I hope the fringe Left continues with this. Their timing is terrible. Trump isn’t going to be convicted and he’ll be able to carry that into the 2020 campaign. He beat Mueller. He’ll beat impeachment. He’ll be able to portray this as a party that simply refuses to accept the reality of the 2016 election and have shot their wad twice without success.

Who stayed home out of hatred for Hillary and could easily do it again. Pelosi knows impeachment will help Trump but AOC and Nadler want to raise money and their profile for their future ambitions and think impeaching Trump will get them there.
It will backfire, as Pelosi is trying to warn them.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi shut down press questions about whether the House is conducting a formal impeachment inquiry as some lawmakers claim.
“I’m not answering any more questions about a possible inquiry, investigation, and the rest,” Pelosi tersely told reporters who asked her about the matter at her weekly press conference.
Pelosi’s frustration led her to walk away from the podium, cutting her press conference short after calling for the media to focus on the Senate GOP’s refusal to take up a Democratic proposal to expand background checks for gun purchases.
“Why is it that you are hung up with a word over here when lives are at stake over there?” the California Democrat said, walking out of the room.
Pelosi has resisted a formal House vote that would authorize the House Judiciary Committee to launch an official impeachment inquiry. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler has nonetheless declared the panel is conducting an official investigation.
Well, Nan, you may not be interested in impeachment but impeachment is interested in you. It’s your House, and Nadler is your committee chairman, and he’s the one who keeps bringing it up. If he proceeds the Speaker will most certainly be dragged in. Better prepare your posturing!

I agree. If the communists formerly start impeachment then President Trump will have all the political cover he needs to declassify anything in his defense. I think that right now President Trump is just waiting for the leftists to stick their little heads a bit further into the noose.
