Yes,some of the LP jackets were excellent...some were even classics. But I,about as old fashioned a guy as you'll meet, literally can't understand preferring LPs vs CDs.
There are a million reasons to prefer CDs over anything else. And to me CDs include SACD and DVD-Audio.

Now bring back a stackable record player, so we won’t have to stop every 20 minutes of what we are doing and change the record!

I have a footlocker full of vinyl LP records from the 70’s and 80’s. All in pristine condition. They have only been played on my Thorens turntable with a Microacoustics cartridge.

People who prefer LPs to CDs must not be cat people. LPs are cat fur attractors.

After discovering Discogs, I can attest that I am doing my part to make this happen!

Way back, I would buy a record and immediately record it onto a Maxell cassette, so I wouldn’t wear the record out.

Best thing about LPs, is that sometimes you’d get a real cool extra, like ELO’s “Out of The Blue” with a cardboard ELO Spaceship you could assemble and hang from your ceiling.

Maybe the most epic album cover of all time ... not just because it's a Led Zeppelin classic, but because the building on the right is the location where the Rolling Stones filmed their video for "Waiting On A Friend" a few years later. It's on St. Mark's Place in the East Village of NYC.

Last week Taylor Swift sold 867,000 copies of her album (679,000 were actual album sales; large numbers of stream playback counts towards sales these days).
The NEXT 199 albums out of the top 200 albums sold less than a combined 361,000 copies (less than 2,000 units of each album sold in a week).
It doesn’t matter what media it is recorded on, the new music AIN’T SELLING.
