President Trump fired John Bolton as National Security Advisor Monday evening and made the announcement Tuesday on Twitter.
I informed John Bolton last night that his services are no longer needed at the White House. I disagreed strongly with many of his suggestions, as did others in the Administration, and therefore I asked John for his resignation, which was given to me this morning. I thank John very much for his service. I will be naming a new National Security Advisor next week, Trump said in a pair of tweets Tuesday.
A few minutes later, John Bolton fired off a tweet claiming he was the one who offered to resign Monday night.
BOLTON: I offered to resign last night and President Trump said, Lets talk about it tomorrow.
So tired of the circus crap show with all the staff in his administration. I am sure this had to do with inviting the Taliban to Camp David right before 9/11. I personally found that invitation out of line. I support the President but in that decision, no. It was really in poor taste.
If you are asked for a resignation you are being fired....
That about says it all.
I like Bolton, but we don't need airing of dirty laundry in public. It only helps the rats.
Oh nicely played
President Trump’s hiring decisions have been less than ideal, to be kind.
I’m glad this mistake was corrected. John Bolton doesn’t mind seeing our young bleed to fuel his adventurism.
1) They didnt come
2) if they had and brought peace so our troops come home....how is that bad??
Stupid on Bolton’s part. Note that Bannon left and said “I’m gonna help Trump wage war on these people.”
Bolton: “I’m gonna wage war on Trump.”
Well technically John is correct......LOL!
It's not as if there's a heck of a lot to choose from, can't hire people who don't want the job in the first place.
Punctuation marks and all caps lettering help create drama where none actually existed.......
well, it does start there...
The nerve to even accuse an incoming Justice with High School party behavior... the audacity
I think having Bolton in such an important position close to Trump was a signal to some of our enemies that they’d better sweeten up.
Any more-I am convinced that people in public life have totally forgotten (maybe they never knew) how to show any class at all.
Acting like that isnt low class... its NO class. Just take your lumps and scoot.
Adversity introduces a man to himself. Always true!
Maybe he never showed any class and thats what got him fired. Who knows.
Yep, he wanted to get involved in NK, Iran, Afghanistan and probably a couple other places.
I think we have found the key person who kept us wasting lives in Iraq.
Bolton’s Tweet let’s the world know that firing him was the right thing to do.
Perhaps Bolton was overly pedantic.
Dick: You can't fire! I quit ya!
I don’t really see how it matters. Bolton is gone, the end result.
