A Tennessee man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly riding a horse while drunk, according to a report.

Hamilton County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested John Arnold after receiving several reports on Tuesday night of an "intoxicated person on a horse," WTVC in Chattanooga, reported, citing an arrest affidavit.
A deputy allegedly saw Arnold riding the horse down the middle of a dark road and then falling off the horse.

Arnold was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
The horse was not hurt and was returned home safely, the television station reported, citing Arnolds family members.

After he pleaded guilty to a DUI charge, he lost his driving privileges for a year starting in February 2019, the station added.

Yikes! That picture.
The phrase “and the horse you rode in on” came to mind. But after seeing that picture.
Just the horse.
But then, who hasnt been?
Taking his drivers licence even though he wasnt driving?
I’d appeal.
Things like this are yet another reason the public is withdrawing support for law enforcement and the judicial system.
He probably agreed to surrendering his license if he broke parole conditions.
He broke them. So yeah. Take his license away.
As long as the horse wasn’t drunk, I don’t see a problem with it. In great-grandfather’s day, it was common to give the horse control to bring both horse and rider safely home in a storm. The horse was smart enough to do it by feel when the rider couldn’t see.
After haulin’ that guy around a horse needs a drink
The drivers license was suspended earlier for a OWI conviction, not this incident. I suppose that’s why he was on the horse.
There’s some logic to that. I’ve occasionally wondered about the fairness of public intoxication charges. Presumably professional sports venues or concerts aren’t public places, because there are many intoxicated individuals. I suspect this guys problem was riding down the middle of the road. His defense attorney can blame that on the horse.
I been a little lit...while walking. And a top a horse.
I have done both. I am not proud but I think the law has bigger fish to fry. "Drunk" can be relative. At least I was having a few beers with buddies horse riding on private property. The bike thing was a kid thing.
Still can’t hold a candle to Florida Man.

If they are in the middle of the road, as this guy apparently was, they can be cited for obstructing traffic for failure to control the horse. That would be the proper charge, not DUI, which is silly because he isn't driving, he's riding.
Read again...He had already lost his license for DUI...That started in Feb 2019...
“Weve had a few of those dwis on horseback in our town, too”
When they find him riding a zamboni while drunk, then you can take away his drivers license. Lesson learned, don’t drink and horse.
Ha!
Google African animals drunk video (or anything similar) and it should come up.
I wonder what the odds are that this guy was originally from Florida?
Ping to post 2!
(Because no-one has ever ridden drunk in Tennessee before...)
