PRACTICALLY PERFECT Prince Harry doesn’t want Archie’s nanny wearing a uniform like Kate and ...

PRINCE Harry reportedly banned any nanny wearing a uniform for baby Archie as he didn’t want his life to be like ‘Mary Poppins’.

Meghan Markle went through three nannies while trying to find the perfect person to look after baby Archie.

The Duke of Sussex is said to have ruled out any childminders in uniform after starting their search for a nanny, following the arrival of Archie Harrison in May.

The 34-year-old is said to have compared them to ‘Mary Poppins’, claiming he wants Archie to have a ‘normal’ upbringing.

Royal commentator, Omid Scobie, said: “One of the things that Harry said was, ‘I don’t want a woman in a uniform around my child.

“This isn’t Mary Poppins, we’re going to have a normal household,” he told Yahoo’s The Royal Box.

The dad-of-one snubbed the elite Norland nannies - who look after The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's children – in their instantly recognisable uniforms.

Maria Teresa Borrallo, a Norland graduate, looks after Prince George and Princess Charlotte, and is often spotted out and about with the children.

The Norland nannies are required to wear uniforms while on duty, which includes hats and gloves.

But the nanny the Sussex’s have opted for was spotted wearing casual clothes when boarding a private jet for a holiday with the family.

I don't think the brothers relationship is going to recover for a very long time.

Nothing wrong with not wanting a uniformed nanny but don't diss the Future King's nanny.

I recall Winston Churchill writing that the only person who ever showed him any affection as a child was Mrs. MacDonald, his nanny.

I may have remembered her name wrong.

Little Archie will never have to eat ramen noodles. Or Mac and cheese from a box.

Agreed.

I’m not sure that a nanny out of uniform is any more in keeping with the average Joe’s experience than a nanny in uniform.

Drinking $5000 bottles of wine from a Stein rather than fine crystal doesn’t really scream “normal life” to most people who lead normal lives.

If he wanted to be normal, he’d go much farther if he kept the uniform and ditched the nanny.

The Norland nannies are trained in martial arts. They can protect the children should anyone try to grab them.

What a crock.. Spend $3 million pounds on remodeling your house, trot around the world on private jets with your disastrously egotistical, designer-clothes wearing wife who s clearly in it for the money and fame, and then object to a uniformed nanny. This is the stupidest person on the planet. The Brits just detest him now that he’s married Me-Again.

The Cambridge’s nanny doesn’t wear her uniform day-to-day. I believe she wears regular clothing.

Prince Halfwit is probably too cheap to hire a nanny from Norland. Those women are in demand and probably command top salaries.

It may be Charles. When Charles becomes King then Prince William will hold those purse strings. Duchy of Cornwall estate.

Prince Harry will have to look to William for money.

Who is or will be paying William’s salary?

btw, an interesting factoid according to Wiki

(The Succession to the Crown Act 2013 does not affect the succession to the duchy, so that if the heir apparent is female she cannot succeed to the duchy.
