If it stays in place, and that is a very big if, it just might help. Somehow, I doubt using tape will secure it for long though. 8>)

TGape alone no, but look at the picture. She has sandbags on top of the bottom of the plastic. It’s probably the top that is secured with tape.

Winds might blow it loose. But this might work if flooding is the primary threat.

At the Guam house, we use duct tape around two of the outside doors when a typhoon approaches. It actually works pretty well
