Without looking I’m trying to think who she was.

the ex prostitute wife of the retired cop, played by Ernest Borgnine?

Cause she would have been in her 30s.

Also just looked and this Sunday at 8pm TCM is showing Bunny Lake is Missing, with her in it. Don’t think I’ve ever seen that one. 1965. Have to check it out especially for sets, fashion and hair.

I always thought she was very beautiful, a little like Yvette Mimieux.

I kept a huge boombox in my locker at 29 Palms in 1981.
I set a cassette tape to play that song loudly at eight o’clock Saturday morning and took off for Palm Springs one Friday evening.

The men in the barracks had calmed down enough not to kill me when I got back to the squad bay Sunday afternoon. They had cut my wall locker open though.

Still worth it after all these years.

There was a considerable period, can’t remember whether it was on FR or the conservative bulletin board on Prodigy or AOL that preceeded FR, where an ongoing argument was basically this: “Ginger or Mary Ann ?”

Singer. Lip-synched Morning After.

No. Ernest Borgine’s ex-prostitute wife was played by Stella Stevens, mother of actor Andrew Stevens.

Carol Lynley’s role was as part of a musical group performing on the ill-fated ship. She sang Maureen McGovern’s hit song, “The Morning After.” An actor, whose name I don’t know, played her brother in the movie. He was in the band, too, but did not survive.

I saw your very interesting 'Bewitched' thread. It's unbelievable how many stars I assumed were still viable have been dead for several years. Very sad.

Carol Lynley was so young and beautiful in 'The Poseidon Adventure'. Rest in peace, Carol...

Time passes SO quickly. *sigh*

She is someone I had forgotten about, until I saw her on “The Big Valley” recently. A pretty lady.

RIP

In looking over the cast, I was surprised to discover the movie featured one of Leslie Nielsen’s non-comedic roles, as the captain.

Most of Nielson's roles have been non-comedic, over the course of over 100 movies and 150 television appearances.

It's interesting that he's mostly remembered for his comedy.

I always thought she was so beautiful. She was on Johnny Carson once in the 60s and she brought her knitting with her and knit the whole time. Sort of hippyish. She was the mother in Bunny Lake is Missing.

Gotcha!!

Now I know who she is. Was.

She lived for a while, no? Red Buttons looked after her?

I dunno. I was 4 :) Probably watched it at 8 or 9.

Thanks.

She was in a film I always enjoy seeing called The Pleasure Seekers. It was a remake of Three Coins in the Fountain, but with hotter stars. The other 2 stars were Ann-Margaret and Pamela Tiffin. Three beautiful young women find romance in Spain in the early 60’s. Love it!

She was also a TOP teen model in the late 50s-60s. Everyone wanted to look like her!

No, that was Stella Stevens.

Lynley was the dippy singer whose brother died at the very beginning of the movie.
