BLACK holes could be a portal to another universe and our cosmos could have been born from one, a scientist has sensationally claimed.
While the accepted theory on the universe began is the big bang, there are other equally baffling theories. One such is that our universe was born from a black hole opening in another parallel universe and that each black hole in our cosmos could be a gateway to another universe. At the beginning of time, 13.8 billion years ago, there was a dense and super-hot energetic point where the laws of physics did not apply what is known as a singularity.

The world has changed forever. But art never dies.
We will never know as much as we don’t know.
Good one. Reminds us to have humility.
” singularity.”...???...INDEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“We will never know as much as we dont know.”
If “God” is the name for all that we don’t know about the universe, how can we possibly know what God is?
theory was proposed and discussed five decades ago in science class during high school. Good to see theory going mainstream
Yep you are correct ... this theory is old news

Uh, uh, guilty. Never thought I’d be questioned about it. I did it before surveillance cameras were in use.
Shoot, I knew we lived in a black hole the last time I drove through Detroit.
>> one of the signals came from a collision involving a black hole of unanticipated heft purportedly as heavy as 100 suns. <<
HUH? That’s pretty damned small for a black hole, ain’t it?
Perhaps some clever person will come up with some predictions based on the theory and devise an experiment or make some observations that confirm the predictions.
The only shocking thing here is that the article is lifted word for word from an article in “Inside Science” in 2012 with no attribution.

Actually, by our current definition, our universe must be a black hole. IF the Big Bang Theory, in any of it’s forms are right, then, due to expansion, the universe is expanding faster than the speed of light. If the ‘edge’ of the universe is moving faster than light, then, light produced inside said universe can never reach it to escape. Ergo, it is a Black Hole.
Is there a singularity in the center, that is another issue. There are several billion that we know of, but, we haven’t seen the “universe” black hole yet (probably never will, but, you never can tell).
I have said this, as have others, here on FR.
If our universe is inside a black hole, that means we’ll never get out.
