American gymnasts going back at least to Dorothy Hammill tend to be built like fireplugs. They may not be as graceful as those Russian waifs, but they make up for it in strength.

She looks fine. I dated a girl kinda built like her. Dancer, not gymnast. She complained about her ‘tree trunk legs’. I didn’t have any problem with them.

If I knew nothing about this girl, but just saw the first picture in the Daily Mail story, I would have said she did gymnastics or dancing regularly. The thighs looked extremely familiar...
She's no longer competing; it would not surprise me if she has put on a few (5-10) pounds since the season ended a few months ago.

My late wife was a real beauty. She was queen of her high school and danced in plays too. She sometimes showed me some of her dances from “Showboat”. Once she tried to get me to twirl her as her partner did in high school. Well I couldn’t do it and I was a college athlete.
After we were married maybe 6 years, she mentioned that she always thought her legs were her best feature. Well her legs were excellent but I thought she had other features which were even better. After her first baby she put on around 20 pounds but it didn’t hurt her. After her second baby shed decided to lose back to her college weight. I had to admit that she did look a bit better after losing that 20.
She reminds me of the legendary gladiator, the great Gluteus Maximus.
