People who proudly don body ink and have visible tattoos are more likely to act on impulse and make actions in haste, according to a new study. It also discovered that, as a result of these poorly thought through snap decisions, they are likely to not consider the full scope of their actions. The study was conducted by economists and was done on more than 1,000 people...Tattoos have their origins in the ne'er-do-wells of society, with the authors noting body art 'largely reserved for criminals, sailors and circus freaks'.

I remember when the only people who had tattoos seemed to be criminals and sailors (many of the latter group presumably having gotten tattoos after a night of heavy drinking on shore leave).
That’s why those tat people in John Wick were emotion-less when he became ex-comunicado’..s/
J/K I have tats on my back with a dragon and lettering “all liberals should die”
For example, I am considering a tattoo to celebrate my completion of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage during the Holly Year of Mercy. Considering that I completed my pilgrimage several years ago, I would say this is not an impulse decision. I am considering doing a second pilgrimage during the 2021 Holy Year
While I agree that many who get tattoos are not really thinking things through and may later regret the decision, I also feel that sometimes a tattoo can be an affirmation and positive thing. It all depends on the person and their reasons.
Thats obvious. For women especially. Fashion changes, tattoos are forever. If you gave a woman an expensive jacket, but added the caveat that she had to wear it for the rest of her life, she would reject it immediately. Strange that the same women will mark up her arms, legs, breasts, etc with trendy ink. Lets see.... what goes with a long white cotton dress and nice sandals....? Not Porky Pig.
Many were also “cutters” or into self mutilation.

People who impulsively get designs on their body have been proven to be most likely to impulsively get designs on their body. Water, still wet, etc.
I actually like that commercial
And yet the Bible clearly directs that marking the body is a sin. Youve lost me brother. Anyone who spends time looking at their body and trying to decide how to improve Gods handiwork is losing orbit.
When I was young and was aked why I didn;t hae a tattoo I said:
I never hated myself enough to want to do that.
Are you a Catholic? It’s proscribed.
Can confirm....
So many “poor me poor people” I know bitch about not making enough money in the same conversation show off their 500buck new ink....

Tattoo - The Who
[Verse 1]
Me and my brother were talking to each other
About what makes a man a man
Was it brain or brawn, or the month you were born
We just couldn’t understand
[Bridge]
Our old man didn’t like our appearance
He said that only women wear long hair
[Verse 2]
So me and my brother borrowed money from Mother
We knew what we had to do
We went downstairs, past the barber and gymnasium
And got our arms tattooed
[Pre-Chorus]
Welcome to my life, tattoo
I’m a man now, thanks to you
[Chorus]
I expect I’ll regret you
But the skin graft man won’t get you
You’ll be there when I die
Tattoo
[Verse 3]
My dad beat me because mine said “Mother”
But my mother naturally liked it and beat my brother
Cause his tattoo was of a lady in the nude
And my mother thought that was extremely rude
[Pre-Chorus]
Welcome to my life, tattoo
We’ve a long time together, me and you
[Chorus]
[Outro]
Now I’m older, I’m tattooed all over
My wife is tattooed too
A rooty-toot-toot, rooty-tooty-toot-toot
Rooty-toot-toot tattoo too
To you
Thank you.
Good luck on getting a Top Secret Clearance in the 1960/70’s with tats.
