Week 2 has chock-full of compelling match-ups in all the Saturday time slots. The Noon ET slot has two games that might be worthy of using the previous channel button. America's Team Army travels to Ann Arbor. Army finished 2018 ranked 19 and took Oklahoma to overtime. The other noon game involving an interesting Big 10 = 14 non-conference match up is the prodigal son Luke Fickell return to C-Bus.
The 3:30 ET time slot has a monster match-up as TAMU pays a visit to Clemson. This on paper is Clemson's toughest game of the regular season. Clemson barely escaped College Station last year thanks to an assist from the goal line pylon. Clemson is around a 2 TD favorite.
The prime time game is a prime time match as LSU pays a visit to AustinSan Francisco, Texas. LSU rolled out their new uptempo spread offense in Week 1. Austen has a reputation as being a party time so let us see if they can handle the hard drinking and partying Tiger Nation. A back story of this game is the cloak and dagger efforts of LSU and UT to secure Tom Herman's services. LSU is a 4 pt favorite.
If one can stay up there are a compelling Pac-12 match-ups as Cal with one of the best defense in the country visit the HuskiesGrunge Dogs. The Schadenfreude game might be Stanford playing USC. Both starting QBs are out for the game as USC will start a freshman QB.
I was in the woods away from internet and TV this past weekend.
Can anyone tell me how the Tennessee Vols did in their cupcake game?
About the most interesting of the Irish/Cardinals game was when the Notre Dame QB nailed the cheerleader on the sidelines.
They won handily!
Vols Lost to Georgia State by 8.
Why is Rutgers in the Big Ten ?
Another patsy/doormat besides Indiana and Illinois was needed.
Plus Rutgers gets a share of TV and bowl money.
LOL, I’m not taking Tennessee-Martin lightly.
Because the 8 MM households in the NYC Metro area pay a buck a month for the Big 10 channel when nobody in the area cares one lick about Rutgers football.
“...nailed the cheerleader on the sidelines.”
Was it consensual?
They got humiliated.
I remember years ago we went up to New York to see Florida play Rutgers at The Meadowlands, and Florida fans outnumbered Rutgers fans by a 2-1 ratio.
I would have to say that the Oregon - Auburn game was a wonderful game to watch. Both teams were trying to get it together on their first week and you could watch the comfort develop as the game went along.
Oklahoma - Houston was great as well.
Didn’t get to see Clemson or Alabama but I did watch KU!!!!
UT-K fans start every season somewhere between manic and euphoric. Every August they act like they’ll probably win the East, and then a tough SEC title game against Bama, but then on to the playoff, and then every year they are terrible. I find it hilarious, myself. This loss is the best ever.
College football is an afterthought in the Northeast Corridor. Whatever college football fans there are in NYC Metro tend to be Penn State or Notre Dame fans.
The folks at SEC Shorts nailed it....

I did not find it comfortable at all.
Thanks, that is wonderful. The most delusional fan base on earth.
Sure has changed from way back in the day when Rutgers, Army and Fordham were all national powers.
