With all the hype, I am going to assume this is going to end up being a non-event...
I beg to differ. Millions without electricity is far from a non-event.
Just talked to my daughter west of Daytona. Told her to hit the road today
Two years ago that area was without power for 2 weeks
She’s packed, filled up and ready to bug out
Not worth the risk
I look on drudge report, and I see a picture of what appears to be Hurricane Camille about to hit Florida.
My reaction to seeing that pic was HOLY SH!T!
Oh, it’s not even the storm, it’s just blatant frickin’ fake news hurricane porn. Thanks, Matt. That’s great ;/
That would be nice. But you have to prepare for the worst. I lived through a few scares at Homestead in the early ‘80s. Nothing-burgers. Having seen the post-Andrew photos of the building I lived in, the pallet of drinking water they put in the front lobby of the dorm seemed like the very minimum of preparation, though.
Ignore the press. Check the state of the system if interested. Currently crossing from a 2 to a 3. Path puts it in FL. Two back to back high pressure fronts approaching from NW which will weaken it as it steers it.
