This, according to the call I got from the SSA (since when did they start calling people? LMAO) telling me a legal lawsuit had been filed against me by the Federal Reserve Bank and if I didnt call back the Federal Marshals by the close of the day, they were going to come and arrest me LMAO!
Theres no end to the lengths these scammers will go to fraud/scam people. This call was an attempt to get my SS#. Nice try asshole! Itd be nice to meet one of these scammers in a back alley and fold their teeth back.
Anyone receive calls similar to this? This call came from a 985 area code which is Louisiana.
They told me my SS# would be “suspend”.
The camera on my computer caught me watching something I shouldn’t and doing something very embarrassing that all the people in my contact list will be shown if I don’t send $687 in bitcoins right away. I guess I’m in trouble because I don’t know a bitcoin from a wooden nickel.
If they really wanted to stop these calls they could do it.
In the meantime think of ways to have fun with the callers like Tom Mabe. Every time I hear this call I can’t stop laughing.

One tip off is the IRS never uses the term “garnish”. They either seize or levy.
I got a call today - said I had received a $9,000 grant from the treasury. All I had to do was call some 850- code telephone number.
I have never applied for any kind of grant or loan from any govt agency.
I am sure, had I called that 850- number, they would have asked for my SSN and other personal info.
I got several of these. I told them to come get me.
I like it. I think I’ll try that next time.
Damn, now that I think about it, I did watch MSNBC for a few minutes last week. Can any of the smart people on this board help me figure out how to get some bitcoins?
I have done the same thing on several occasions when I was bored and had some spare time.
One Indian guy was attempting to get me to fire up Team Viewer so he could fix my windows, etc.
I proceeded to play as dumb as I could and ran him around in circles for about 15 minutes until I got bored with the routine and basically told him I’m not as dumb as you think and to go eff himself, then hung up.
Imagine my surprise when he immediately called back and cursed at me in his native tongue before hanging up on me. I laughed my ass off the rest of the night over that fun! :)
I have gotten 2 of those calls and ignored them.
My neighbors are opening a business in a month and are undergoing lots of financial checks by the bank, the parent company and mortgage co and got a call as well.
The level of shock and anguish that they were put through - lets just say I hope those criminals, who are causing so much pain to so many good people, spontaneously combust.
The new scam is you can call on cell, one ring and hang up. You hit redial that number and off you go to some foreign exchange. That exchange bills your number say @ $10.00 a minute rate. US carrier pays them and they charge you. You are left out to dry. BA D
CPR V5000 Call Blocker for Landline Phones - Pre-loaded with 5000 known Robocall Scam numbers - Block a further 1500 numbers at a Touch of a Button -
So you went with no phone at all. Because, guess what? After awhile you will get them on your mobile too. I get about 3 or 4 of those types of calls a day. If a call comes in from someone not in my contact list, it goes straight to voicemail. Then I quickly looked at the transcribed voicemail and delete the scam ones about as fast as they come in. Just part of my normal routine. I fully expect it to get to 10 or more per day at this rate.
I too have no landline. Haven’t for a long time.
Sounds like you watched that Mads Mikkelsen Netflix movie...
My call came from Washington, area code 206
Just yesterday. For my illegal use of my social security number. If I didn’t want to be arrested to call the number right away. It was a voicemail. I don’t answer cell or land line any more.
Tell them you are a Democrat! You should be fine...
If these guys keep hassling you, I can help. The Nigerian Oil Minister and I are buds ...
