This, according to the call I got from the SSA (since when did they start calling people? LMAO) telling me a legal lawsuit had been filed against me by the Federal Reserve Bank and if I didnt call back the Federal Marshals by the close of the day, they were going to come and arrest me LMAO!
Theres no end to the lengths these scammers will go to fraud/scam people. This call was an attempt to get my SS#. Nice try asshole! Itd be nice to meet one of these scammers in a back alley and fold their teeth back.
Anyone receive calls similar to this? This call came from a 985 area code which is Louisiana.
I doubt the call actually came from anywhere in the usa.
You did not spook?
We dumped our landline a couple of years ago and no longer have that problem.
Mine was the “IRS”. I knew it wasn’t the IRS because it ended with “May God have mercy on your soul” on the message. First, I know the IRS are a buncha’ soul-less cretins so I know it wasn’t the IRS. 2nd, how many IRS agent named “Bill Richardson” speaks with an Indian accent?
Yes, my wife and I are both on the backlogged arrest list too.
These calls have found my cell phone and are really annoying. The bigger problem is they must be finding people who bite or there wouldn't be so many of them. I've heard about cases involving elderly people who believe these scam artists and give out their information.
I get all kinds of weird robocalls. I’m sick to death of the government and telephone companies sitting on their behind. They have technology to prevent spoofing. Why don’t they?
I got one about a month ago.
As soon as I heard them say “Department of Social Security”, I hung up. The real one is “The Social Security Administration”, not that, even identifying themselves correctly would mean you should not be careful.
If you get the max SS payout and are within a year of retirement, SS could be sending their assassins out for you.
Everyday.
They're going to impound my bank account and garnish my wages.😂
Two weeks ago I got a robo-call saying my checking account was being used for fraudulent and federally criminal activity and they needed my PIN# to verify I was the account holder.
C’mon crooks, that’s just too obvious.
I had to pay off the IRS during one of these calls, but that’s OK—I know a guy in Nigeria who’s going to be sending me millions any day now.
I got basically the same call yesterday and was told my SS was suspended till I called some federal agency at an 800 number, I turned 60 today so I know damn well i’m not on SS.
I get ten telemarketer calls a day. They all come from not just my area code but from our county, at least the phone says so. They have rendered my phone useless. I had to go through multiple menus to turn off all the chimes, buzzers, and dings. But I finally got it. Now I have a mechanical secretary. If you want to talk to me leave a message. Sometimes I get those Call us or the (LEO of the week) will be arriving with warrants or Your bank account has been compromised... and they actually leave the message. I saw something the other day that said the goobermint cant stop it because they are calling from foreign countries. Right.
I generally ignore calls that come from phone numbers I don’t know. I’m averaging approx one of such calls about every 2 days.
Easy. Because there's no money in it for them to do so.
They randomly generate numbers to call in the hopes of finding a sucker. It is not dependent on the type of line you have. I’ve only had a cell phone for the past 21 years and get scammers calling several times per day.
