An Ohio homeowner shot dead two teenage boys who he say were 'trespassing' on his property on Wednesday night.
The homeowner has not been named but is being questioned.
He told police that on Wednesday at 9.30pm, he shot the two boys in his 'garage'. He called 911 afterwards.
The boys have been identified as 17-year-olds Devon Henderson and Javier Harrison. It remains unclear if they were trying to break into the property, or what their motive for being there was.
When the homeowner called 911, he told the operator: 'I shot two guys. I shot two persons tried to rob to do something in my house.'
Dayton Daily News, a local outlet, says one of the teenagers' father's believed they knew the shooter and had been in the garage before.

Yes, a life of crime, violence, and drug abuse tragically cut short. They never reached their full criminal potential.
“This father is correct. Killing someone who is in your garage (unattached from the house no less), and who isn’t directly endangering your life, is not justified.”
I would agree if that in fact is correct, but there’s not a lot of information right now as to exactly what happened. Did the boys threaten the owner and put his life in jeopardy? Better to wait until all the facts come in.
How do you know that the shooter did not feel that two males in his garage did not constitute a threat to his life?
Were you there?
Were you in his head?
There is simply no way to tell. Which is why in Texas home owners are protected by law in this case so that some liberal DA cannot try to convince a jury that they can read the homeowners mind.
Stay out of other people’s garages.
So much bleeding heart liberalism infecting even conservative thinkers.
Is he preparing for Hurricane Dorian? /s
I dont know what the guy had in his garage. My garage has plenty of yard tools that would make excellent weapons. Also plenty of tools that could assist the youths to break into the house. They shouldnt have been there.
Well see what happens.
Oh man, and they were planning to turn their lives around the very next day!! Why did he have to do it?
“Interestingly enough, I bought the garage at the exact same time I bought my house.”
Pretty clever you are. Keep an eye on your garage, and when/if you shoot someone dead, please update us on how it works out for you.
“I love Coveats. Is there anything else?”
I don’t know, maybe a spelling lesson?
How is the garage not a part of the domicile, even if detached?
I don’t generally shoot dead people.
They may still get there - only as cadavers. Sad situation all around.
Look at this thread, the weak have allowed themselves to be brainwashed into thinking that private property rights and protection of private property no longer exists. These things need to happen way more often as justified to send the message that trespassing WILL indeed get you killed.
The communist brainwashing is working very well.
Without sarcasm: I’m reminded of a saying I seem to recall that the presence and persistence of broken / taped up / boarded up windows says something about how safe a neighborhood is.
“Trying to break in?”
They were already in.
It’s hard to believe that house has a garage.
Were they “invited”?
No?
Just for the record, one of the facts is that they were not trying to break in because they were already in the garage.
I’ll wait for more facts before I conclude good riddance and that if you do stupid things bad things happen.
“No threat to the shooters life. The shooter is going to jail, and I think thats as it should be.”
In Ohio, which is a castle doctrine state, the State has the obligation to prove the defendant did not fear for his life.
He was investigating a break in in his property. Two large men were there without reason in the middle of the night.
Unless the idiot said he did not fear for his life, he’ll walk.
OK. They are dead for theft.
How is that?
Sheesh. Like he wouldn’t have shot white burglars.
I made as much money as the paper route kids (averaged across the year) picking up pop bottles, cleaning them, and returning them for the deposit. And I never got stiffed by the people who don’t pay.
