An Ohio homeowner shot dead two teenage boys who he say were 'trespassing' on his property on Wednesday night.
The homeowner has not been named but is being questioned.
He told police that on Wednesday at 9.30pm, he shot the two boys in his 'garage'. He called 911 afterwards.
The boys have been identified as 17-year-olds Devon Henderson and Javier Harrison. It remains unclear if they were trying to break into the property, or what their motive for being there was.
When the homeowner called 911, he told the operator: 'I shot two guys. I shot two persons tried to rob to do something in my house.'
Dayton Daily News, a local outlet, says one of the teenagers' father's believed they knew the shooter and had been in the garage before.

They were going after something specific or someone.
I think the key point is that they were”inside the garage”. That is a break-in.
According to the story it wasn't.
“Where were the parents?”
smoking pot or at the welfare office..
Now he’ll ponder his decision in prison(probably) for a long time. Nobody wins here.
I believe in New York you can add attempted arson.
I tend to agree but would need to know more. Was he in the garage when they came in and was trapped? Short of that type of situation, why wouldn’t you just call the cops? I carry and have zero desire to actually shoot someone. Wouldn’t do it over money, I’d hand my wallet over rather than have that on my mind for the rest of my life. Now, and I understand that this is difficult for anyone not in the situation to assess, if I felt threatened or felt my family was threatened...well, that’s why I carry. And close calls of the interpretation of that risk favors the person who felt at risk. I am pretty sure that’s how the courts will look at it. If you clearly are not at risk, you don’t have the right to shoot.
The are private property issues here too. Since when did all property become public community property?
My garage is part of my house. If someone is in my garage, they are in my house. Detached garage, different story.
“Dont you dare resist or your going to jail, bitch.”
Got some anger issues, don’t you buckaroo?
lol
“Javier’s father Jimmy said he should not have fired his weapon because the teens were in his garage and not his house. “
****
smart father s/
I guess dont shoot if those 2 were getting away using his yard (which is outside the house)
Detached Garage. That is an important element.
However, if he went out to the garage to investigate noises, and was confronted and feared for his life, that would be relevant.
This guy needs a good lawyer and must be very careful about what he says.
A DFP is a tactical advantage.
Maybe, maybe not.
What we know now is like some preface page.
“Two 17 year olds out late at night”
9:30 is not late.
These stories never seem to have the details necessary for reasonable people to make a judgment. The gaps in the story leave wide paths for the agenda people to exploit the situation. Nevertheless it is always a tragedy when someone even if justified has to take human life and live with it. That homeowner will be praised if these two were a threat to himself and his family but regardless he will have some sleepless nights. Ask any combat veteran who had to do the right thing.
If you’re inside my house, and I don’t know you, and I didn’t let you in, you’re getting made into swiss cheese no questions asked.
