An Ohio homeowner shot dead two teenage boys who he say were 'trespassing' on his property on Wednesday night.
The homeowner has not been named but is being questioned.
He told police that on Wednesday at 9.30pm, he shot the two boys in his 'garage'. He called 911 afterwards.
The boys have been identified as 17-year-olds Devon Henderson and Javier Harrison. It remains unclear if they were trying to break into the property, or what their motive for being there was.
When the homeowner called 911, he told the operator: 'I shot two guys. I shot two persons tried to rob to do something in my house.'
Dayton Daily News, a local outlet, says one of the teenagers' father's believed they knew the shooter and had been in the garage before.

Never cut bait in your garage. Rip the innards out right on the banks of the river.
The flat-roofed structure in the back of the picture is the garage.
It is 40 feet from the garage to the back of the house.
Maybe he was afraid because someone was continuing to come onto his property uninvited. It may be that he was constantly afraid, and so he boarded up his property.
He’s the real victim here.
I live in the South my friend.
Obviously, they were there to hold a church meeting since all the surroundings churches were locked up just as tight as the homeowner’s house. That or to go over that day’s AP algebra homework.
“I would guess that they didnt carry signs saying ,We are 17 year olds.
17!year old males are tricky to peg an age to because some may look like 25 year old men of 13 year old boys depending on when and even if puberty has happened and their grooming habits.
See 118. I agree that there may be more to the story.
State law and local law is overridden by the constitution on this, Everyone has the absolute right to protect life, liberty, and PROPERTY by any means necessary or available.
Since when did private property become public community property in common regulated by laws implemented for enforcement of public property? As soon as they passed over the property line THEY lost all rights and legal protections, including all law enforcement without a WARRANT.
So what do local municipalities and states do? They claim to only recognize private property if it is fenced, locked, and posted. Then they tie your hands with an ordinance against fences tall enough to keep the public out. They force you to make yourself a vulnerable victim and then charge you when you do become a victim of trespassing.
But they’ll vote D for the next 40 years.
Notice the first thing the families did was ask for donations for the burials. The gimme-ness is ingrained.
Whoa. Afraid not sir. The constitution limits Federal law but not state law, unless such law violates a basic ‘right’. You have the right to defend yourself and use ‘arms’ but not the right to shoot someone under any circumstance. The state determines if you can defend property or not, and a few allow that but many do not. I am not saying I like it, but that is the law.
I did anyway. They look like hard core felons whether the felonies committed were in the past or in the future. He homeowner probably save taxpayers at least six figures in costs of prosecution, free defense representation and room and board in local hoosegows. I bet the homeowner is not white.
He may own the property, but we don't know if he was residing at the property at the time.
Moe exciting that way!😃
They come at me...I'm shooting.
To shoot them with no warning,,,if they are unarmed..is wrong.
You’re right. He was probably just waiting there for the opportunity to shoot someone who innocently happened by.
that varies from state to state
some states it is only your home, some your enclosed property, some include outbuidings and we don’t know if this garage was attached.
There are two different issues here:
Issue 1: Is being in somebody else’s garage at night a dangerous activity that is liable to get you shot? Yes, it is. You should not do this, because it is dangerous.
Issue 2: Did the homeowner violate the law when he shot these two? Perhaps. It depends on a lot of details we cannot know.
But Issue 2 has no bearing on Issue 1. If you’re lying dead on the floor, it doesn’t matter to you how the law treats the man who shot you.
What if their partner is in the loft and you shoot her tit off?
9:30 pm on a school night is late for responsible parents making sure their kids are in the house with homework and chores done and getting ready for bed so they can do well in school the next day.
OTOH, 9:30 pm on a school night for some is just the beginning of their awake time when they sneak around da ‘hood looking to rob, steal, rape or sell drugs.
