On Monday, Kentucky Fried Chicken announced the arrival of its newest menu option, a vegan fried chicken called Beyond Fried Chicken.
The meal will be made using plant-based meat substitute Beyond Meat, which aims to look and cook like real meat.
The move comes after several fast-food chains have begun offering plant-based options, including Burger Kings Impossible Whopper, which promised to bleed like real meat.

I had blood work last week. They checked my pea protein isolates and a few other things on that list.
In probably 20 years, I’ve been there once. The pieces were floating in oil.
I made fried chicken and potato salad last night. Yum. Not a bit greasy and made from real chicken.
Yum
Parts is parts...
My intestinal gases started churning just reading that.
It is not implemented towards the vegan market at all. It is designed to slowly convert meat eaters.
If they can duplicate a 2 pound prime porterhouse for a dollar, I would be interested.
The rubber chicken restaurant.
Well THAT certainly sounds healthy.
Not.
Just call it trans-chicken and be done with it.
“Trans-what? I ain’t putting that thing in MY mouth!”
That is true. Burger king used to have a veggie burger but now you have to say impossible whopper because it is not a veggie burger and also they cook them on the same grill as the meat so real meat juices are impossibly absorbed. Stay away.
Probably give a person more gas than refried beans. It’s right up there on my list like gas station Sushi.
Beyond food.
Just like momma used to cook for Sunday dinner. I always liked extra chemicals on mine.
All kinds of things are natural...
Frankenfood
That list of ingredients is one of the reasons I do not eat any processed food-if it isn’t clearly labeled and/or I can’t make a positive ID on it, buy it fresh and cook it myself, it is not going to be on my menu-if you added a couple of ingredients to the list, I’m sure the end product would be a plastic product-but not food...
There will be problems when they serve this in a Cav messhall.
