I think the NFL still holds the copyright on the old Houston Oilers logo. It looks like the XFL could get sued by both the NFL and Anheuser-Busch over that one.
I’m really liking the Guardians and Defenders logos.
Well maybe all of the people that are avoiding the NFL, actually support this, it will.
Or they can stop complaining about kneeling at NFL games.
5. Defenders are allowed to tackle the runners as they round the bases; however, the runner is allowed to keep his bat. Thunderball players are equiped with full pads and a helmet.
some rules under consideration
(a) the Gun Circle - a loaded hand gun is placed within a clearly marked circle to be placed ten yards behind second base.
"We'd rather have a gun in the outfield, than under a mattress where a child could get to it."
-Joe Auxillary, UCB Director of Health Services
If I were on that jury, I’d tell the NFL to pound sand. You can’t copyright an oil derrick. The old NFL logo lacks the superimposed “H”. It’s a new logo.
why would they locate these teams in so many cities that already have an NFL team? Wouldn’t it be much more prudent to put them in conservative markets without an NFL team?
They are already watching NCAA football (if the ratings spike commensurate with the NFL downturn can be believed; I suspect it is accurate).
What this probably WILL do is attract the alienated former NFL fan and definitely get the football addicts roaming around (REPORTING FOR DUTY!) something to watch in the NFL and NCAA off-season.
Sign me up.
Piss on the NFL.
They will be playing in the Spring, during the NFL off season, so they will not be competing head to head with the NFL club.
The thought is that they needed to have presence in major cities. Those often have an NFL team already.
They did add St. Louis, which has had football teams. I think one of the TX teams should have been in San Antonio; that town is one of the largest in the US and has ONE major sports franchise. Their AAF team was drawing decently for the 6 weeks it was playing games.
That. Is. Perfect! Still chuckling! Brilliantly played!
I want to see more of it everywhere.
Competition, Capitalism, more, more, more.
MAGA.
Not enough or eager enough to have the other upstart even finish their season.
If no kneeling for the national anthem, could well last more than a season. I will watch if that is the case.
I want to see the Lancaster Amish Rake Fighters play the Nippon Ham Fighters (and I don’t really care what sport they choose).
Quit abusing the news forum.
I’ll watch this, as our house has been boycotting NFL.
Now, if they start that kneeling carp....bets are off.
I didn’t know a carp could kneel....
He Hate Me.
