Italy's Salvini dismisses fears for health of stranded migrants

LAMPEDUSA, Italy (Reuters) - A charity rescue ship carrying 134 migrants, mostly Africans, was stranded off the coast of Italy on Friday as a political battle in Rome stopped it from docking and even the medical conditions of those on board were disputed.The migrants, picked up off Libya over the last two weeks, are waiting to disembark on the southern Italian island of Lampedusa, but far-right Interior Minister Matteo Salvini has ordered his officials not to let them do so. Salvini, who has built his popularity on a vigorous campaign against illegal immigration, is acting in defiance of his own prime minister and despite six European Union nations agreeing to take the migrants in.

Why in the world aren’t they dropped back off in Libya? Europeans have gone insane. They are actively encouraging these people to risk their lives to come to Europe. They would stop if Euro leaders all had Salvini’s backbone and told them to stay home.

The “poor huddled masses” coming across the southern border may not be so poor after all. Swiss journalist Urs Gehriger recently visited African migrants who breached the border and hung out on the streets of San Antonio, Texas, waiting to go elsewhere in the country, and he met hostility from people who didn’t want to share details about their experiences, conflicted each other, and had rolls of $100 bills. In a recording played on Fox News, Gehriger asks a migrant from Congo how she got to America. She refused to say.

As Gehriger continued to ask simple questions, he said they backtracked and “were not answering at all.” “They wouldn’t tell me anything about how they got here, and then they started to get aggressive and they were contradicting each other,” he told Laura Ingraham. “One said they ran through the forest, and another said no, there was no forest, and they were actually arguing among themselves,” Gehriger said. He said they started to get “aggressive” after questions about money and help.

Gehriger believes the illegals were coached on giving answers to authorities. “I had the impression that somebody told them not to speak about it,” and acting like “now we’re here, you have to help us, give us money.” “What I found from an aid worker there, they actually do have money. Quite a few of them, because he spotted them under a tree, right in front of the shelter, counting a roll of money with hundred dollar bills,” Gehriger told Ingraham. Hundreds of migrants Congo and Angola were transported to San Antonio the week before, and city officials say they received no warning from the feds that they were coming. KENS published a story showing dozens of people milling around downtown, saying they arrived at the southern U.S. border by way of Ecuador. ETC...

Far right my ass. These ships “rescue” them a mile from Libya, refuse to return them there and take them across the sea to Italy. It’s all part of a plan which Salvini exposes beautifully.

Constantly asking myself why America would bother fighting and dying twice in two world wars for this eventuality. Hindsight says it was all for nothing.

IF Hitler did not declare war on the USA (hypothetically there was no Holocaust for arguments sake) we could have destroyed Imperial Japan,stayed neutral against Germany which would have meant that the Soviet Union would eventually be annihilated,Communism would be destroyed and there would never be the growth of fundamental Islam and eventual colonization of the West with third world losers. Maybe we threaten to drop a bomb on Berlin to stop Nazis expansion. Yes,the Nazis and American cold war would make the USSR and USA cold war tame in comparison I suppose. Alternative histories fascinate me when the present situation in real time is insane.
