Is Ukraine Due for Another Revolution?
Slate ^ | August 14, 2019 | Jonathan Brunson

The potential for another Ukrainian revolution festers beneath this year’s deceptively calm presidential and parliamentary elections. It would be the third one in 15 years, following the 2004 Orange Revolution and the 2014 Euro-Maidan uprising.

In April, 75 percent of voters elected celebrity comedian Volodymyr Zelenskiy to replace the president who had led Ukraine since the 2014 revolution, Petro Poroshenko. Then in July, Zelenskiy’s party won a supermajority in Parliament, introducing single-party rule to Ukraine for the first time since independence from the Soviet Union in 1991—and empowering Zelenskiy to govern without a coalition.

Western experts have praised these elections as free and fair. But some Ukrainians see them as a subversion of democracy, believing the results were orchestrated by opportunist oligarchs behind a pro-Russian political technology project to elect an empty vessel—Zelenskiy—that can be filled and manipulated. Many activists, volunteers from the last revolution, and veterans of the ongoing war against Russian-backed separatists in the country’s east lament Zelenskiy’s rise as a symptom of their sick state unappreciative of the sacrifices and progress made since the 2014 Maidan.

If you take Crimea for an example Donbas alone will have the economy twice the size of the whole Ukraine in a decade since independence from Kiev crooks.

The part of Ukraine that was Austria for 800 years should be returned to Europe. Let them join the EU, let globohomo take over. It’s what they want, it’s only fair.

The rest belongs to Russia.

Get on with it.

Last election before the coup.

Would make a good line between EU and Russian parts.

Yep. They weren’t on news for quite some time and desperate for attention. To remind the world how poor they are and to ask for more money. If there would be any fire returned by the local resistance it would be immediately reported by the media as ‘unprovoked Russian aggression’.

To be honest the only original European part is dark blue in your map. Formerly Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

Joe Biden's son advised crooked Romanian businessman;
Gabriel Popoviciu sentenced and imprisoned for corruption

Fox News ^ | 5/22/19 | Lukas Mikelionis / Posted on 5/25/2019 by Libloather
Former Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter once worked with a Romanian businessman who was convicted and imprisoned following an investigation over his real estate dealings. **SNIP**

According to the New York Times, the younger Biden increased his international business efforts during his father’s second term as vice president and began associating with figures about whom the U.S. or its ally nations were suspicious. Hunter Biden reportedly began advising Gabriel Popoviciu, a Romanian businessman said to have opened the country's first Pizza Hut restaurant, who came under authorities’ scrutiny over his real estate dealings. **SNIP**

Other reports concerning Hunter focus on his role $50,000 per month in the Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings, a company that employed him as a board member as the U.S. and the Obama administration were mulling a course of action amid Russia's invasion in Eastern Ukraine. (Excerpt) Read more at foxnews.com ...

===================================

Hunter was chronically unemployed and Dishonorably Discharged from the Navy for cocaine use. In 2017 divorce papers, Hunter's then-wife Kathleen stated he spent "extravagantly on his own interests including drugs, alcohol, prostitutes, strip clubs, and gifts for women with whom he has sexual relations)."

The same year, it emerged that Hunter Biden was in a relationship with his late brother Beau's widow, Hallie. Hunter Biden separated from Kathleen five months after Beau's death from brain cancer at age 46 in May 2015 . Hunter then married Beau's widow......now after two years of marriage, they announce they're divorcing.....a Biden pump and dump scheme.

JOE BIDEN FACES SCRUTINY FOR DEMANDING OUSTER OF
UKRAINE OFFICIAL PROBING FIRM THAT EMPLOYED HIS SON

Suspicions raised---According to the New York Times, the younger Biden increased his international business efforts during his father’s second term as vice president and began associating with figures about whom the U.S. or its ally nations were suspicious. Hunter Biden reportedly began advising Gabriel Popoviciu, a Romanian businessman said to have opened the country's first Pizza Hut restaurant, who came under authorities’ scrutiny over his real estate dealings.

The investigation into Popoviciu, who was known as one of the richest and most powerful men in Romania, came amid calls from the U.S. and its allies to crack down on rampant corruption in the country. This led to the conviction of the Romanian businessman and his seven-year sentence in prison. Other reports concerning the son of the leading 2020 presidential candidate focus on his role in the Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings, a company that employed him as a board member as the U.S. and the Obama administration were mulling a course of action amid Russia's invasion in Eastern Ukraine.

=======================================

VP Biden weaponized his govt office AND manipulated US foreign policy to protect his son-- --
and publicly bragged about it, in those heady days when Hillary was a shoo-in.

Biden caught on tape (apparently in cahoots with Obama): "We're not going to give you (Ukraine)the billion dollars," he said. "Ukraine said, 'You have no authority. You're not the president.' Biden said, 'Call him (indicating Obama was in on the shakedown).' 'I'm telling you, you're not getting a billion dollars.' I said, I will be leaving here in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you're not getting the money.' Well, son of a b---h got fired."

Biden is already badly-damaged goods. https://www.worldtribune.com/joe-bidens-additional-problems-ukraine-china-and-his-son/

This is one particularly incriminating excerpt from that website: Biden’s role in the firing of Ukraine Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin in 2016 could prove to be a major issue for the former vice president. Last year, during a Council on Foreign Relations event, Biden told the audience that he pressed President Petro Poroshenko to fire Shokin, including threatening to withdraw a $1 billion U.S. loan from Ukraine, which had been economically decimated due to its war with Russian forces since 2014.

Shokin had been working on a corruption probe that implicated the natural gas firm Burisma Holdings, a company that employed Hunter Biden, as a board member, The Hill reported.

Shokin told The Hill that he had made “specific plans” for the probe, including “interrogations and other crime-investigation procedures into all members of the executive board, including Hunter Biden.” The investigation ended shortly after Shokin was fired, and no charges were filed against any individuals of the company.

Why is Ukraine shelling their own country? It wouldn’t have anything to do with the “Little Green Men” who invaded from Russia and killed thousands, would it?

Gotta love the Pukey apologist here on FR. Ok, maybe not.

You may have missed it, but it was Ukraine shelling their own country that prompted the invasion of the “Little Green Men”.

Hi Mr. Radical, yeah, people shell their own country for no reason.
Happens every day.

FR is quite littered with Putin propagandists these days. Thousands in Ukraine have died due to this “internal” invasion of Putin’s Little Green Men.

People siding with Pukey are disgusting. Ukraine has a right to defend itself.

Putin and company are acting like the adults in the room. I would take a Sergey Lavrov over the likes of a Mike Pompeo any day.
