Just because we turn on the coach quickly doesn’t mean we’re fair weather fans!

This is what happened when LSU played Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. We had no idea where to put them.

I partook of many a “Kamikaze Halftime” at the “Purple Porpoise” back in the day.

“Last year Saban complained about students not going to the games.”

If he saw the University of Minnesota’s student section, he be thinking that all was well in Tuscaloosa.

Ames is an odd town. From people who I know who’ve lived there, it’s comprised of three groups...

Group #1 - The college (students, faculty, support staff)

Group #2 - Government employees and their families (US DOT and US Ag have facilities there)

Group #3 - Townies

All three groups almost operate within their own sphere.

Of all SI’s top 10 lists, this is by far the worst.

College towns chosen at random would be better.

The old joint is gone.

We partied in our parking lot. We lived on SW 11th St, right across from 16 Sorority houses. It was hard, but someone had to do it...

That is the beauty of it...during my 4 years there in State College. I was
only an hour from the family hunting camp...you can have urban campuses
as far as I am concerned.

As a native Texan I agree.
