IIRC, the radio station was sued. And probably settled out of court for a large sum. That was in Sacramento. A nurse called into the program and pleaded with them to stop the contest and the two DJs mocked her claims that water toxicity could kill and called her an idiot. They continued urging the woman to Wee for a Wii by drinking more and more water, which was the prize. She did and died. Her family sued and the station was forced into bankruptcy and the FCC pulled their license.
