He offered no specifics? Oh please! Their movies are even racist against blacks half the time. Violence and racism are their trademarks. And every movie mentions repression or cops killing innocent people.

Good to see Trump hit Hollywood where it hurts. I am more interested in the fact that actors and directors are hypocrites (throwing rocks and living in glass houses).
The revenues from violent action movies have to be pretty high.
OTOH, I don’t want the feds regulating them. Actually, they should self regulate. Just my opinion.

Hollywood does turn out some films that are just AWFUL
in both the attitudes and roles portrayed
and in the extremes of violence (and sicko sex) they screen

Hollywood did clean up a long time ago, and it took Congressional concern to get them to do it. They did a fairly good job of cleaning up...but since... have thrown all that progress away. Many of the movies are more rotten than ever. And Congress will do nothing now... since Congress is now just as depraved and greedy and corrupted as Hollywood
Hollywood is not “racist”. Hollywood is certainly anti-white. Trying to turn “racist” around on the Left is useless. It convinces no one at all. They have a different definition of the word. It’s their word. They invented it. They defined it. They weaponized it.

They really are out of ideas. Space Crap and Cape Crap has kept Hollywood going for a while, along with endless reboots (Charlie’s Angels incoming!). It’s far too much to ask for a role that’s a female, black, or Asian villain; how about just a female, black, or Asian character that has to actually overcome a struggle as part of a character arc? How about Rey (Bella, Arya, whatever the name is) makes even a minor mistake in the next Star Wars movie? Unlikely.
On one hand you don't want to give the unhinged, radical leftists any ideas.
On the other hand, Hollywood is openly showing us their murder-fantasy endgame so this works as a warning.
Also, as I understand it, Deplorables eventually gain the upper-hand and strike back.

Yup. Some of the public has become desensitized to violence from watching movie and tv blood and guts shows and video games that they believe it’s acceptable to commit crime. The PG and MA classifications are about as useful as the silly 911 color-coded alerts.

TV shows immediately dumbed down to kiddie shows.
Movies on TV were butchered to remove “violence”.
But the movie industry claimed they would “police themselves” with a joke of a ratings system.
The Fox was guarding the henhouse.
They then reshot scenes adding more blood, guts and explicit sex to get the then covented “R” rating.
Now movie and TV violence are worse than they ever was.
I love it. A President with a backbone.
