Dallas became the place where the weight of the world seemed to melt away the place where the good outweighed the bad for the first time in days.
When we arrived at our gate at Dallas Love Field, I noticed a few camera crews waiting. I didnt think much of it. Perhaps they were waiting for a politician or a newsmaker.
A few minutes later, a gate agent from Southwest Airlines appeared and started handing out American flags.

What a good looking man Col. Knight was. He has the look and bearing of a real gentleman and warrior.
Years ago, when things would get bad on the job, the stock reaction an old Boss I once had was “there ain’t nothing so bad that there’s not something good about it”. I found it to be true enough.
Bryan Knight bringing his father home proves to me the greater “good” in such situations.
Thanks for posting this reality of how Nam has impacted not only those killed or maimed there, how that reality has impacted their family members for decades.
