Anyone here believe that global warming zealots want to stop at 19%?
Currently meat has reduced tax rate of 7 per cent but politicians say it should increase to 19.

Germany could introduce a “meat tax” to protect the climate and improve animal welfare.
Currently meat in the country has a reduced tax rate of seven per cent but the Social Democrat party and the Greens are arguing that this should increase to the standard 19 per cent, with additional revenue spent on improving animal welfare.
“I am in favour of abolishing the VAT reduction for meat and earmarking it for more animal welfare,” Friedrich Ostendorf, agricultural policy spokesperson for the Greens told The Local website.
He said it mad “no sense” that meat was taxed at seven per cent while oat milk is taxed at 19 per cent.

It’s none of their damn business what we eat. If I want to eat lard like pudding, it’s MY business.

Perhaps it should be noted that the LACK of meat in the diet, leads to gullibility and stupidity, as demonstrated here by the officials that proposed this kind of unsubstantiated idiocy.
A good counter proposal would be a complete tax ban on meat sales and tax reduction for meat farmers and importers. I suspect that proposal would get a lot more support from voters.
This also illustrates just how little concern for the economy and the wishes of the electorate the paternally inclined authoritarian European socialists have for the actual citizens of their countries. Why do they even make a proposal, just impose draconian banning of meat, as they have no accountablity?
About 5 years ago the Great Lakes were nearly frozen over. We had about two weeks in one month where the lows were well below zero and many days were the high was below zero.

Yep. The building Grand Solar Minimum and the resulting mini ice age will have them praying for global warming (and food and heat). How ironic will that be?
