Can anyone help me with finding the cheapest way to ship to Japan.I have a package that weighs 9 pounds,Thanks,Fatima
If the item is legal, have a friend going to Japan carry it in his suit case and mail it from Japan. Otherwise, sea mail is best.
Just send it through the post office first class mail. I order things from the USA all the time. I dont understand what youre trying to ask here. You have a destination address, it will get there.
USPS
I sold a bunch of NOS auto parts and shipped all over the world. USPS was pretty painless and they have all the forms you need. Customs/import fees are different for different items but they were always very reasonable for “spares”. That’s what the rest of the world calls aftermarket or used auto parts. I just labeled the “automobile spares”
USPS has free boxes too and some are meant for intl flat rate shipping
My question is the cheapest way to ship.USPs wants 75.00.
Your key word is “order”. A company can ship something for a couple of dollars that you as an individual will spend $15 to $20 to ship, and that is within the US.
A search on Duckduckgo directed me to Parcel Monkey. A 1# pkg to Japan at $24, 5# $45, 10# $57
This is too big for a flat rate box.I am new to this and just learning.Just talked to fedx and they want over 200.00-HA.:)
Humm I should check that out-Thanks Cold Heart.
Sea Mail ?
Try this:

The cheapest way is to find a “friend” that has a UPS shipping account and does some volume.
I once went to ship a game that was heavy to a man.He told me to use his account because they need the volume.
Sea mail- but how fast does it need to get there?
The cheapest way? Stick it in a big bottle with a cork in it and throw it in the ocean when the currents are going the right way...
Take it to your local Post Office and they’ll tell you what you need and how much it would cost. USPS has a LOT more experience with intl shipments
Is it dope or guns?
It’s a Holy Item silly.I am going to learn how to do this.
I think that’s what I’m gonna do.It is 15.00 over what I expected to spend for shipping but my man is willing to help with it.Getting a headache :)
You asked for the cheapest. If you want the fastest, don’t use sea mail.
