It would have been a hysterical skit with George pretending to be offended and Jerry making fun of it.
Unfortunately it’s all too real.

Triggered in my day and even until this day simply means annoyed or agitated. Using those words in place of triggered brings it into perspective and makes them look that much more foolish and idiotic.
This really would make a great SNL skit or a Sinefield episode as a few people have noted.
